I like /jp/, and consider it to be one of the better boards(in before FFFFFFFF- and RAGE), and I spend a lot of time lurking here even if I don't post much.

Compared to most of the other boards, you don't get a dozen replies of "kill yourself" to a question, and there's very few troll answers. The most you'll get is one or two teenagers who think sageing a thread actually does something to it.

We all saw how effective that was with the Yukkuri Thread, which actually gets remade frequently nowadays.

You can always ask yourself "Is the content I'm contributing to /jp/ actually worth contributing?". I've been thinking about this for over a month now and everytime I hit the "Submit" button I always ask myself a question - are you sure, and is this really what you want to appear on the first page, even for a brief time? And even after taking some time to think about, IF I have any doubts, I save the context of the given post to a notepad document, leave it for a day or two and then read it once more. If I consider it to be good enough for the board, then I finally post it.
And that's how it should work.

The problem is that we won't be getting a majority of people to do anything close to that. You have to remember that we're posting in /jp/, where many of the lurkers feel that posting here takes little effort. That's the way they like it, and that's what brings them here every day. They're not going to go to such lengths to put their thoughts on some anonymous imageboard. Hell, not even I would. I commend your actions, and believe me I would love to see something like this performed by at least a tenth of the posters. The problem is just that our expectations get too unrealistic.
