So I just played through a translated VN for the first time (I tried school days soon after it came out, but of course I had absolutely no idea what they were saying). Was this a good choice?

Nekoko is always a good choice.

What I mean is "If I try more VNs, are my experiences likely to get better or worse?"

Worse.

You're gonna hit a brick wall in the form of no more VNs to read.

Before that, you're gonna have IMMENSE fun playing them.

As a side effect, you could see books as "inferior media".

Depends on what you're looking for.

A few are better, most are worse.

I think YMK is an average VN. So you made a good choice, since it isn't that bad or that good.

YMK is better if you've played more VNs beforehand, what with all the satirical references Tsubaki threw at you.

Other than that; sure. YMK's a simple and highly enjoyable VN. It's not the best, so you can measure things up to it without being disappointed, as well.

YMK was fairly good.

Go read Tsukihime now.

>> No.1493880

You chose an excellent VN.
