perfume's dances have always been about individual moves that link together and have a stand alone feeling. it's what gives each dance something fresh and what gives most of them that stand out feel.

at their first dome appearance nocchi does a single pose from each dance and you know exactly what dance they are from even without being an expert because each dance has something iconic about it.

it is also what made relax in the city so much more worse. not only was it unfitting to nakata's shit song but it was all recycled moves.


Mikiko still kicks out great choreography which is impressive considering how long she has been going. I imagine how hard it must be for her at this point.

I haven't really looked at sweet refrains lyrics for too long. though I have given them a small look.

from what I have seen it is about constantly living out the same experiences. which makes makes the title in itself deep as fuck.

from the context of the rest of the song it's either about a wonky relationship or a person who keeps falling in love with the wrong people. more likely the latter.

I don't feel confident with that analysis at all though as feelings are mentioned but not really love or a person but they seem implied.

it is a difficult song. the sou sweet refrain could mean "i've fallin in love again" , "I've falling back in love with this ass again" , "I've made the same mistake of rushing into a relationship with someone don't really like because of the strong initial feelings I can't help but all ways get for a person"

what ever the meaning is I have no doubt that it may be one of nakatas deepest stongs. I don't usually like a song for it's lyrics but if a song is good which it is and the lyrics are deep AF too. then it makes me love the song more.

(dear lord referencing perfume city again this translates to "only you hold the controller" this is by far the most false and partially misleading translation, while the meaning remains the same the implication is lost and it becomes a lot less bad ass. saihai is a baton that symbolizes a high ranking officer they use it to signal troops and move them around the field. the saihai represents control but it also represents higher rank and more worth. so saying controller basic takes away that extra meaning)
