Kylo isn't supposed to be as threatening or a full blown villian like Vader was in the first trilogy.

He's supposed to be full of angst because he doesn't believe he's up to the name of his grandfather and uncle and was tempted to the Dark side in hopes of becoming as strong as them, ironically betraying everything Luke and Anakin stood for.

He killed his father in hopes that it would make him stronger, but he realizes what a huge mistake he has committed after he does so, so he is between the good side and the bad side of the force right now, feeling him with even more angst.

Bad child-esque villain with negative oomph factor, 1st Order being space nazis that the director even references nazis as inspiration, everything about Rey during the 2nd half, and it's literally just a New Hope.

Like it starts off as a New Hope, mid section was kind of different enough, and then it's straight back to being a New Hope again just with Rey being bullshit.

Leia, Han, and Kylo all needed more backstory instead of being thrust into the movie with little to nothing, something they could have done by say waiting until the 2nd movie before they let Kylo kill Han.

Could have made the moment substantially better with Han telling Rey or Luke ready the duke it out to hold off so he could talk with his son.

More importantly then we could have had more Han who is basically all the charm among those sticks in the mud main characters.

Because the Magnaguards were personally trained by Grievous and were extremely expensive to produce thanks to having superior AI to your average Battle Droid. The point of the droids was that they were cheap and could be mass produced. They were capable of swarming the enemy through sheer numbers. Grievous and his Magnaguards were for when there was a Jedi in the battle and you needed someone who could fight them on even grounds.

Also, I think Droidikas were also capable of taking out Jedi Padawans.
