South Koreans have mixed up Takeshima and Utsuryo island.
Utsuryo island was conquered by Korea in A.D. 512, and belongs to Korea after that. South Koreans assert dominium by mixing up the name of the islet attached to Utsuryo island, and the name of the island named Takeshima by Japanese people.
Modernization came, the exact survey was performed by Japan and it was decided through international law procedure that it is a Japanese special character.
However, with military power, South Korea invaded Takeshima, murdered 44 Japanese fishermen and carried out occupation in 1952.

I did a college paper on those rocks back in 2006.

My proposed solution to the problem was that the Koreans would get the island that already has their lighthouse and radar on it and shit and the Japanese would get the island that is inaccessible and virtually uninhabitable.

Hey, at least they'd end up with some of it in their possession, even if it is completely silly and useless.
