I'm not saying I'm demonstrating 5 CV is better here, but that the problem is more complicated than "less planes, less planes shot down" since you have to take into account CV role, here killing stuff.

Over 20 runs with 4 CV, I consumed an average of about 270 per run, versus 230 with 5 CV. The latter value was computed over 300 runs, so it's bauxite usage might be lower simply due to variance in average calculation due to my small sample size for 4CV.

Although I didn't measure it quantitatively, it did felt less powerful and able to kill stuff than 5 CV too.

So perhaps 4 CV is better, but efficiency in killing and bauxite consumption isn't solely related to # of CV. Hence my inquiry for plane distribution.
