1442961 No.1442961 [Reply] [Original]

The Japanese arm of moral crusader group UNICEF is pushing for a ban on all depictions of minors in “sexual” poses, with swimwear in anime mentioned specifically, a move which would have devastating effects on the world of anime, manga and games.

Gearing up for their participation in a major international conference discussing curbing the sexual exploitation of children, opening in Brazil in November, the group painted a hysterical picture of a massive increase in recent years of the availability of pornography featuring underage participants over the Internet.

They accused the US, Russia and Japan of being foremost in harbouring such sites.

Complaints about the supposed laxness of Japanese laws against possession of such material were also made, but in their most strident assertion, they insisted upon the urgent necessity of new laws to curb swimwear wearing children in “sexual” poses appearing in anime and similar.

Some say such a move would likely inevitably be extended into mainstream anime from the initial soft target of more erotic representations.

Top UNICEF Japan honcho Agnes Chan, a Chinese pop star with controversial affiliations with a religious organisation many consider a cult, closed the assembly saying: “The problem of the sexual exploitation of children is becoming more and more acute and extensive. We have to bring together the people and the government, and take the necessary action for the protection of the children.”

I hate how normal humans grow so irrational at the very concept of children (THEIR children) coming into harm, in any imaginary way. I know it's a basic biological response, but ffs people, there's a limit to fear, and that is when you start throwing people into jail because you just suspect they might do something to your precious offspring.

Actually, demand for 3dcp caused sexual abuse of children in many cases, so they tried to curb that demand by making in thoroughly illegal. Demand for 2dcp only causes art/graphic design students.

Scenario A: Child porn is legal to possess, but illegal to make or sell. Pedos download CP freely from P2P networks and fap in the privacy of their own homes.

Scenario B: CP possession is illegal and a top police priority gaining massive media attention. Pedos without esoteric knowledge of encrypted protocols and darknets have nothing to fap to. Pedos decide to go to the playgrounds, parks and schools and release their sexual tension into little boys and girls.

Now I know what you're thinking, in Scenario A, every time a pedo faps, what he's doing is raping a child. Now contrary to popular belief, all he is actually doing is looking at pixels on a screen. No children are harmed. It may take some time to digest this fact, but when you finally do you'll wonder why you didn't realise sooner.

You seem to live in a world of black and white

Child abuse will always happen (and by the way, if you stamp down as hard as you can on CP, and somehow remove the camera from the equation, the child is still going to be just as raped as with the camera there) but statistically pornography has always been shown to reduce rapes

And it makes sense, freely available fap material means you're less horny. If a pedo doesn't have anything to fap to (present situation with most pedos) then they need an iron will to just get through the day

Criminalizing CP does reduce demand; not the numbers of people who want, but the numbers of people who are willing to go out and trying and get it, which is what demand is.

If CP was legal websites like megarotic and shit would be flooded with it, and (more) paysites would be set up as well. Thus child abuse would probably increase.

However legal loli only means that more poor art students degrade themselves.

>> No.1443202

What if selling and possession of CP was legal, but making wasn't? So, this one server could sell access to a database of all the CP in the world. Right now you have to hunt for it. But then it'd all be in one place, and easy to find. So pedos would quickly go through it all. I dunno... how much can exist? Then they'd really want some new shit, no? And then... sites would pop up with new shit. Where did this fresh CP come from? Oh no, we didn't make it, we're just another classic CP archive (wink, nudge). I'm not sure where I'm going with this.

If I have a point it's something like... legalising CP wouldn't stop new material being made. But do the opposite. According to my calculations. And pedos can find CP already, if they keep it in their home in private, they won't get caught, unless they're stupid.

There might be exceptions in things we are so used to having available that it's hard to accept when it isn't, but people usually like obeying the law as long as they see some sense in it. But personally, what I like about prohibition is that while people thought it'd prevent crime, as the distorted judgment caused by alcohol would no longer be a problem, it actually caused much more crime than it prevented. This shows that even if you can prove that something causes crime, banning that thing won't necessarily reduce crime.

If anything the internet should've taught you, it is that there is always demand for CP, legal or not.

The fact that it's illegal to stick your p0n0s up a child's vag00 hasn't stopped a lot of kiddy fiddlers in the past couple of years. Making idol videos illegal will stop the supply, but not the demand. The people who buy/download idol videos now will just start scouring the internet for stuff that will get them off (which is probably a lot worse than idol videos)
