I don't know about your equips but I was able to get AS+ on easy with just 4 planes (Iwamoto, 2x Reppuu 601, Reppuu). CVs will do little on node M beyond the opening airstrike anyway, what really matters is having 2 CA in escort fleet to assure your boss kill even if one gets crit and hoping your DDs clear the PTs.

I can't even tell if I have incredible or terrible luck anymore.

There was no way Eugen was not going to be a farming nightmare when she was finally reintroduced, her radar alone was a final map hard mode reward, but it's only going to get easier with time. I've spent 100 bucket so far clearing the TP meter on hard. Hoping 70 buckets will be enough for 5 kills (and maybe debuffs). But it isn't looking like it will be with all this trolling.
