I try to take into account what most artist seem to go for too. Imuya and Kinu seem to be red for them, usually in some shade of maroon or burgundy, Uzuki has quite the range though and often gets a definite pink treatment.

I started the game to humor my friend and also because Kongou but I really got to like Shimakaze.
Even wanted to marry her but got influenced by /jp/'s worship + some stuff and got directed to Isokaze.
Didn't help that Shimakaze's level is lower than most destroyers since she didn't have another remodel to rush towards.(And that I found out her consumption is larger than the other destroyers without being stronger.)

How would you guys feel if they gave married ships the option to choose their sprite. So maybe you prefer the K art to the K2 you could just swap the K or even seasonal CGs (only if you were present for them). I know it's a long shot but god damn I wish it existed since I prefer Haruna's pre-K2 art. Why did Haruna and Kirishima get shafted so hard? But anyway I think it would be a pretty cool feature. Might push people to buy more rings so I'm sure DMM would be happy to implement it.

But yes. Because Yuudachi and Ayanami exists she is constantly pushed back if I want the day shelling to Chuuha or outright sink a DD or maybe CL.

Even with those numbers she doesn't have luck so if you want cut ins, you won't look at her at base. If you want shelling, there are choices too.

I'm not sure if health matters in this game but evasion is definitely useless.
I stilI bring her out every now and then but increased consumption + somewhat standard performance is my tiny complain.

Nobody cares about second highest yasen. Ayanami is one point behind her while being much more useful in day. Yukikaze, Shigure and Hatsushimo have torpedo cut-ins. There are also Akizuki and Teruzuki with their anti air cut-ins. There aren't many situations where you feel "man, I'd like to have Shimakaze in my fleet for this map". A shame, she was supposed to be the best.

Yeah, it's extra work. If she's your waifu though, isn't it worth it?
Compare your position to someone who has a ship like Shigure as a waifu, you can fix Shimakaze's lack of luck but you can't really fix the fact that Shigure will never have the firepower or torp stats of ships that are/could be better than her.

Or you could just not worry about stats and enjoy the fact that your waifu is decent. It could be worse, you could absolutely adore someone like Murasame.
