I really really want the new SR Syoko but I don't understand how this event works.

There's no ranking this time around, you just have to grind songs and hope you get a drop.

How to increase drop rate:
- play higher difficulty songs (you don't need a high score or combo, however)
- play a song that has boosted drop rates (rotates daily by type, check the song preview for the text mentioning it's being boosted
- have a center idol on your team with a higher Star Rank, which you get from Star Lessons where you fuse dupes of a character together

Shouldn't matter, only the star ranking affects drops.

The only reason why people want rares as their center instead of normals is because they're higher leveled so it's not as much of a compromise as switching from a SSR to a N.

I played for a few days, and got enough money for the 10 roll. In it, I got most of my top 10, and completely lost all urge to keep playing.

Why bother? I don't want to play for another month just to get a Ranko card this time around. I've unlocked most of the songs, and the gameplay is 5 key garbage with massive timing windows where you only lose because capacitive touchscreens are the worst "improvement" to controls in the past 50 years.

At least something like Project Diva had a decent number of songs and actual responsive buttons to press.

If you're already using a 15 star center, there's not much else you can do.

I've heard that playing the corresponding song type helps (i.e. playing passion song for Syoko) but that hasn't been true in my case. Also try playing on a higher difficulty, unless you're already on Master in which case you should pray to the RNG gods.
