Are you a tea otaku? Yes? How wonderful, tea is great.
Lets take it easy and sip tea while posting about it.

You should try some loose leaf green teas, they are very good for body and your mood.
There is a nice little family run store where I go to that has lots of different Japanese green teas. There is a "grading" system with Japanese teas, but there is absolutely no need to go crazy when just trying some out. I got a package of Silver grade leaves an I love it.

There are lots of good Chinese teas as well. You'd probably have more luck finding a Chinese tea shop, which have lots of good teas as well.

The city I live in has a fairly high number of Chinese immigrants so it wouldn't surprise me for there to be a nice tea shop. I've tried supermarket green tea and it's awful, and that's probably why I haven't really tried beyond that. I've had Chinese green tea in one of those seedy restaurants that's actually really good and cheap, it just looks suspicious. That tea was nice, but I had to make myself drink it. That was a while ago so maybe I'll like it more now.

I live in the cold Nordic areas and there's no good tea shops with genuine Japanese or Chinese teas over here. Have to order all online.

I've found a preference to Chinese teas, I haven't really gotten into the Japanese teas yet. They're so much harder to make so that they come out perfect... with full-bodied taste yet no bitterness.

This is my current favourite. Never comes out bitter, lasts several infusions, I can drink it every day forever. (Chinese jasmine tea): http://www.teaspring.com/Bi-Tan-Piao-Xue.asp

No new photos recently, so have an old one.

Very nice anon, I think I know what I'll search for next.

Have you ever tried blooming tea?
Very pretty and you'd need a glass teapot like in that image to really see the action happen.
Never tried it, so maybe it's just for show. It's incredible how they make it though, sewing each and every leaf together.

I drink a lot at home, for example kukicha and chinese tea that I can't read. Chinese tea tastes great with something salty but usually I don't eat anything with tea. I think I've come to prefer houjicha over sencha as it just seems easier to brew. Usually with the latter I either steep it too long or just otherwise screw it up and it comes out all bitter.
