Are there any Homura PCC sprite sheets up anywhere I might have missed? Want to make Madoka based party and I've never played as a gunner.

Also, took some sprites from Grief Syndrome and shrunk them down to fit in Elona since I didn't really like the Madoka sprites I could find. I think they turned out okay, but my eyesight isn't the best so I may have overlooked some flaws. I'll put them up on Elonaup after this post for anyone who wants them.

An Exile needs to be near the enemy at the same range of a tank so it better has high Life, a grief shield (despite lowering casting chance), and another decent shield in its range slot. It'd be good if it's accompanied or maybe tag teamed by another 2 tanks that can provoke.

Where are you in the game? If you haven't beaten Zeome yet you should try to focus on keeping your Exile's stat potential at the superb level and its skills at 400% potential. Both can be accomplished by having your exile visit its trainer in a town. Just walk around town or rest and you'll see a message about the exile visiting a trainer. To fund her training expenses from visiting a trainer let her loot your dungeon boss kills and try gene engineering the pick pocket skill into her. Since her spell casting damage revolves around her casting skill, see to it that this skill is being raised.

Once you get to South Tyris you have more options available for training. Specifically, you'll be able to take advantage of AP that the Exile collects. Use this AP to raise her speed. Once you raise your pet's speed you'll see a world of a difference in power. Try to aim for 500 to begin with. Around this time you should start to think about making herb farms. If you go down that route you can feed your Exile Curarias and Stomafillias to have your pet gain stats at an accelerated rate.

When I started to train my Exile I had a hard time kick starting her AP farming so what I did was tag her to myself and killed things for her. She gained a bit of AP this way. Of course, having her kill things by herself would of net her better AP gains but at the time she needed help until she could handle things herself.

The exile was and still is a candidate for the next pet I'm going to raise seriously. I brought her up using the same techniques I used to bring up my little girl to see if my techniques could be replicated on any pet and to see if I could make it better. So far I'd say I've had a lot of success with that experiment.

After my experiment.I kind of just shelved the Exile as I was focusing my efforts at the time in building myself up to kill the gods. As such, she's never stepped foot in an awakened dungeon. The thought has crossed my mind on how on earth am I going to get her up to speed to tackle the content I'm going through. I've already have made plans for how to solve this problem but I have yet to test them out.

First and foremost, to have her catch up in levels would require her to level up in the void as the dungeons that are spawning currently for me are too high level for her. I would just start on floor 1 and start going down until she found a nice group of floors she could train on. Second, to solve the stat gap is just feeding her herbs. Lastly I would need to solve her speed and skill problems. All the things that I used to up my speed and my other pets speed I would apply to her and for skills AP is always an option outside of leveling it naturally through monsters in the void. Probably could apply this strategy to any pet I want to train in the future.

For deepest dungeon cleared, do lesimas/melugas count ? Also the void and the forts and fixed dungeons, and that one before Larna.

Creating a stream of Elona isn't a bad idea. There are plenty of people out there that have no idea what they're doing in the game and would like a video that shows them how to get off the ground. If you are to stream that might be a style to take up, teaching through showing.

I just hope that if you do stream that you don't end up like dozens of other people that have given up because the game is too hard or went MIA. I know you say you might be streaming on twitch but I should comment that on youtube there has been plenty of streamers that have attempted to do an LP of Elona but have failed to get anywhere except for Zergem. Is there any way to get additional freezer spaces? I bought another one and was disappointed to find that it shares the same inventory as my previous one. Also, do herbs rot? I've been saving them in my freezer because I've been too lazy for awhile to level cooking and because I can still get some speed from AP.

Don't think there is a way to increase freezer space. An alternative to the freezer is found through spell casting though. If you pick up spell casting you can use the 4th dimensional pocket spell to store your food. Tons of space in there and the food you store in there doesn't rot. As for herbs, they never rot.

Switched to glass bows for the speed and was doing nothing in damage, a quick glance at the sheet shown just a +1 damage bonus.

On the elona wiki I'm seeing mixed messages on whether happy beds give more potential or reduce the chances of bad dreams in current versions of elona+. As far as I know, potential gains are based on experience earned and all dreams have a fixed chance of occurring. Can anyone who has in-depth knowledge of this please explain the added benefit of sleeping on a happy bed as opposed to any other bed, such as a cheap bed?

The only noticeable difference is attributes potential gain with happy bed is much better. Such as ~10% potential gain. A sleeping bag I switched from only gave around ~3% or ~4% potential gain.

A Blessed potion of potential gives you 20% increase. It is pretty much drinking a half of a potion of potential if you sleep with a happy bed.

Happy beds absolutely increase potential more than other beds. As for good/bad dreams, those are based on fixed chance, according to the wiki.

What on earth do you not understand by what you read? Skill potentials earned are based on the amount of experience(skill experience not lv experience) gained since you last slept and the type of bed. Of course you'll still see a lot of potential earned, even from a shit bed, if you've gained a lot of experience since the last time you slept. A better bed gives a better potential multiplier though to take advantage of experience earned. As for dreams a better bed doesn't make you immune to getting bad dreams but they do help increasing the ratio of good dreams to bad.

I seem to have hit the basic attribute cap for my ally yesterday. 2000 seems to be the natural cap with gear being able to carry you pass that cap. Now that Yuki has the attributes of a goddess I should continue to work on her levels, skills, and her life/mana stats.

So far I've been doing well in raising both me and Yuki's life/mana stats. Through leveling summon spirit and playing at parties I've been able to get 45k+ in tickets for each party I play at. I expect to see this increase as I keep leveling that spell. Through this I've been able to pop hero cheeses and mana fruit as if they were candy. I want to say that both give me around 3k in hp and mp respectively? At any rate, they've been instrumental in getting hp and mana for me and Yuki into the millions.

Next month Yuki has a rematch with Itzpalt. While I'm sure she'll survive the god form of Itzpalt no problem I'm still worried about the inner form. I'll be more at ease if I can get her life above 4 million by the time of the fight but I'm not sure if that will be possible. At any rate, operation overpower carries on.

Her most used skills seem to be tactics, two hand, healing, pickpocket, eye of mind, meditation, and polearm.Those seems to be in the 800-1000 range while everything else is low in comparison. Makes sense though.

I am traveling with her more between places and it is helping me. It's especially helpful in raising her skills that she doesn't exactly use often too. Thank you for the advice on that. I just got to control myself from my old habit of using the return spell to get around to places quickly.

Yeah, earlier I was just gene engineering monsters I found in dungeons as I went along in hopes of filling out missing skills but once I started to focus more on the void that stopped. I'll get around to getting those skills eventually.

Not sure if you do this but when I go to feed Yuki her herb dumps I usually reduce my speed through Opatos's gift or riding a snail. Since I only have 25 speed to her 2000 she'll do thousands of actions by the time I do just a couple. So I just rest on my snail and watch her consume the pile fast and in the process see her stats increase relatively fast too. Every now and then I head back to town to have her visit her trainer to keep her potentials up then continue doing what I was doing earlier.

I stick to herbed herbs for my character using a Curaria as a base. For my pet though, I usually forego herbed herbs due to lack of supplies and trying to stretch them out. Instead, I feed them just plain Curarias and if I run low on them I turn to Stomafillias. If you can swing giving your pet herbed herbs that's awesome. You'll supercharge your pets stat growth while supplies last.

It takes awhile to get going and is a constant ongoing project. At first I was content with just feeding my character, Kai, but when I added pets into the mix that project grew considerably. The early you get into it the sooner you'll reap the benefits of it though. For me that meant rushing the quest for the Kumi statue. Once that was done I did the little sister repeatable quest for copies of that statue and for the gemstones.

If I had to do it all over again though, I would do the little sister quest until I got 5 of the Kumi gemstones. After that I would then use all future quest rewards on Kumi statues. With 5 Kumi gemstones you should be able to keep up with the inevitable withering you're going to get with some of the herbs you plant. If you diligently restore your plants with the gemstones and gradually build up your Kumi statues you'll eventually get a surplus of herb plants leading you to grow your operations. What started out as maybe 1-3 farms will eventually blow up into 20+ if you need it to. This is definitely doable once you get Kumi's scissors as well. Remember to never nip your withered plants and to just rely on the gemstones.

I currently have 5 gemstones and 22 statues. All of this took a lot of time and is something you need to be patient with. It might be frustrating at the beginning but I assure you that power in this game is a snowball effect. Once you overcome certain barriers your power will grow by leaps and bounds.

An interesting alternative to statues I've been mulling over deals with building up a cute little fairies speed. If you can get your fairy to a good speed and have the means to slow your character down you can pass time fast and watch as the fairy consumes stacks of food really fast and shits out tons of seeds.

I'd probably feed her stacks of unblessed Stomafillias for the seed purging. Raising the speed of the fairy will take time as well but may be used as an alternative or supplement to herb seed generating.

If you're using the pet as a mount then load it with ring slots and speed rings. If it's not going to be a mount you should prioritize resists and DV or PV. DV is usually found on gear that is light in weight and PV is usually found on gear that is heavy. Speed rings for a normal pet are nice but not necessarily needed. There isn't really body part priorities. Just equip stuff to body parts that help with what you're needing.

DV is dodge value and PV is protection value. Both are ways to deal with damage either through mitigation or avoidance. Earlier in Elona PV and DV can help in survival however late game PV and DV doesn't really matter. What matters late game is being able to kill things fast and to just outlast things long enough to pop a heal or rest up.

If you're a warrior knight like character you'll probably end up going the PV route as heavy armor specializes in that. If you're a mage like character you're going to want light armor because lots of heavy armor will interfere with spell casting. Going the light armor route will probably send you down the DV route. If you're a hybrid caster you'll probably be a mish mash of PV and DV. I wouldn't worry too much about which is better honestly considering PV and DV takes a back seat to other things you should be caring about like resists, attributes, weapons, spell levels, etc.

I used to think that way but I completely disagree now. Not only are they not a burden when you take care of them but they prove to be extremely helpful both in combat and out. Outside of combat they can make you breakfast which raises stat potentials so you're not as reliant on potions of potential. Get their cooking high enough and constantly sleep at right time and it's possible you can forego them all together. They can also make you stuff that may be helpful at best and at worst you can just sell the stuff in your shop for gold. As for combat they can be made to be orbital death machines as they orbit around you killing everything in your path. Just recently, I can say I'm happy I have a pet around when dealing with a Yith creature. While my character was spazzing out due to insanity my pet just came up from behind and poked it to death saving me in the process.

The problem you're facing is either a lack of understanding in how to raise a pet or you're very early in the game and lack the resources to raise a pet. Both can be fixed. It should be made clear though that a pet is only as good as the effort put in by their master but I assure you that pets are one of the best investments in the game.

Shield and Claw hit/damage bonuses do.
Two +10 claws with a good material add a pretty huge hit and damage bonus.

Hence, you have to capture them.

Diaries are entirely RNG. Just hope you can find them on the dungeon floor. When you go to become a follower of a god the nine god signs should appear on the altar. Ditto when you go to change gods. Managed to have my pet solo a god. What this means for me is no healing of the pet, no assistance in attacking by the PC, no resurrecting your pet, and no buffing you pet. Just the pet relying on her own skills and abilities to kill a god. My pet/ally Yuki killed both the god and inner god of Itzpalt. One notable thing that helped her achieve this is the increasing of her life stat. By pumping up her life stat and capping her constitution I brought her life to about 3.8 million HP with room to still grow. Another thing of note is her full set of gear that puts all her resists at Superb #####+. And finally, a nice damage multiplier. 2000 speed is highly recommended but then again I never have fought the gods underneath 2000 but I would imagine it would be tough. So yeah, pets are great if you take the time to raise them right.

It should be noted though that the player doesn't need nearly the amount of stats Yuki has to kill a god. Also, If I was a warrior trying to kill a god, I would jump on the Remote Attack artifact fusion gemstone so I would have the option to kite the gods. Unfortunately, this was not an option for Yuki as you can't really set the AI to spam a special attack AFAIK.

Those people will probably spend the longest amount of time in the game since they're invested in it and awaiting the payout of stronger characters in the end. This is in contrast to the people that drop the game after North Tyris when South Tyris stuff kicks their ass and they're left wondering what the hell to do. Outside of herbs the only way to get stronger is to grind skills and speed but a character who adds herbs to all of this will be stronger. One just needs to look at all the godslayers and characters aspiring to be one someday.

Thank you. Equipment can boost your speed past 2000. This also applies to pets as well. The speed ring on Yuki was an attempt to counter the speed penalty I found on the pile driver. Removing the pile driver would have her speed read as 2011. I'll look into these high potions of soma as well. Thanks.

All of this discussion about the difficulty of Elona is asinine. Wouldn't casuals shift towards easy mode if they wanted to play the game anyways? What's interesting is easy mode isn't really easy mode. You'll still die pretty often if you don't know what you're doing or play recklessly. Having said that, You already have a better name for it, "less grind mode". Advancing is how the game was meant to be played. Grinding is part of the game experience, like climbing 5min stairs in MGS3, or training your pokemons, or farming in harvest moon.

Not him but I can answer your question. There is a soft cap for speed and regular stats. 2000 speed is the highest you can get and potions of Hermes Blood won't increase it. The only way to have more speed is through equipment that improve your speed, feats such as kokou, and possibly when you're wet and have a high swimming skill.
