Route support probably isn't necessary because preboss is ring formation and first node is 50/50 ring or double line. I'm still running a light support fleet just in case though, every dead DD increases the chances of killing the preboss Wos before they crit first fleet.

However, I just did my first run of E-6, reached boss just fine, but end up with 4 escort fleet taiha before yasen. And then Bisko targets BB Hime who then taihas Choukai straight from green. Only damage to boss is scratch from day battle.

I'm seriously wishing I hadn't locked all my Kongous to E-4 and Nagato/Mutsu to E-5, leaving me with only my hotels for E-6 first fleet. They aren't accomplishing shit that another BB couldn't do just as well (killing DDs and Tsu). I finally had Musashi land one solid hit on BB Hime last run only for it to not get followed up with more and it just meant one DD not dead for yasen.
