Assuming you got not shit lube, just put a little inside and insert gently. You'll get a feel for it.

How hard you dry depends on the hole, and how much you care about your ona.

A microfiber cloth is great, but if you don't have one, rolling up a paper towel or tissue and working it inside will be just fine. Just keep in mind that as you clear out more water, it will get harder to insert the towel, and you will have to take it slow. It usually only takes me 3 inserts of some towels to dry mine completely.
