Do Silver summons from the 2000G gacha become more common the more you use it?
I've been using the one-free-summon-a-day thing pretty regularly since I started playing the game in April, and after months of only getting 1or2 star units, I got a few Silvers in a row.

Just the random nature of luck, or is it indicative of anything?

You're not looking hard enough. It's the same as liches, first priority is whoever is blocking it, 2nd priority is the most recently placed unit in range.

How to properly use and utilise Karma? She can't be healed so she isn't a persistent unit. Just a unit to drop on something huge and right now like a boss? Use her ability as she's about to die and retreat just as it expires?

I've done this map (hard) easily over 20 times now. Forever a question mark.

I'm on my way to do that, She's 5/5 skill already as I managed to luck my way out with 4 Rainbow Fairies. Still need to get those 20 levels though to awaken her and can't really do that due to lack of black fairies.

I'd rather not get spica since I have her on Nutaku at my main team. I'm in the process of leveling Rita. Her skill is kind of strange, but I have managed to get her -3 CR so she should probably work fine as her base attack is decent anyway.

I think it's a good system like this because it means that silver units have a place in the game other than just sucking. Having a min costed cc'd levelled up silver unit ready for when you need a cheap drop is really useful, while the high tier units are slower to field, but completely destroy the enemy. That's a way better dynamic between the two than a simple "just always mindlessly field highest rarity all the time".

I mean, even something like a simple bronze soldier has an (albeit niche) purpose thanks to this, which is an aspect I really love about this game.

I've been told this before, but I just found the idea of having to grind from 200 to 0 then back up to 300 too depressing. Now it's 'just' from zero back up to 200 for Spica. A fast attacking range unit on a melee spot is pretty appealing in itself though. And Saki's skill is instantly prepped, with some favorable rng she can start assassinating targets from the moment she is dropped.
(and I really need Spica too, because I only have Soma and Stray for archers)

He's not great. His main weakness is that he gets jackshit from trust, far less than a silver like Soma or Daniela gets from affection.
Double shot is a nice skill though, worked pretty well for me during the vampire event, since those lesser vampires were just big blobs of hp with no defense. Even with Stray's mediocre attack stat, it is literally a 100% attack increase for the duration of his skill on no defense targets.
But hey, it's a male archer for easy 'a toast to men h' farming.
If you only have silver archers, it's (barely) worth leveling him up. If you already have something better, then don't bother.

Really wish I could pull a Despara though, she's my 2nd favourite black.

I'm hoping to get as many clears as possible in the upcoming nutaku event and having a hard time picking out what I should be leveling.

Options include:
Cypria (25): Nice cheap single target damage with assassinate but seems a bit situational.

Katie (41): The extra block and states from CCing this then leveling it a bit would be nice. Having said that the stats are still hardly outstanding and I'm not sure I want to make it any slower.

Adele (35): A high damage witch would be nice and see quite a bit of use. Doesn't feel like it would make a massive difference.

Vincent (10): Kinda trashy as is but might might be nice with the 3 arrows from cc and some more base attack to counteract defense on low defense stuff.

Alissa (21/20): Should probably make my healers less shit at some point.

Nanaly (33CC): Obviously good but she won't really get that much stronger with more levels at this point and will quickly become and exp pit.

Sherry (41): Semi situational and no CC but also quite strong and really good in some situations.

Valerie (26): Suspect I'd get a lot out of CCing and leveling this, though I wish I had a better mage to do it with.

Cyrus (buy from the TP): A better mage but only slightly and I still need Spica for a 2nd good archer.

Outside of these I also have all the default stuff you'd expect though I can't think of a reason to level it much right now.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'd CC Katie and healer(s). Katie is a nice early unit as she's tanky enough to hold back anything but armors and some rushes for long enough to let you put a healer down and healers are the most important unit.
You could also go for a witch while you're at it. Having some magic damage is always nice and the slow gives your Nanaly more time to murder some of the stronger enemies.

From premium summon? Monica is amazing because she boosts the drop rate of demon crystals. Rachel is an excellent ranged unit, probably on par with Elizabeth, though she's not that strong while her skill isn't up. Olivier isn't the greatest black, but she can buff all elf units and dodge all physical damage. Worse than Karma since she can't dodge magic damage, but better than Karma since she can be healed and she has a great ability. Marius is the only one I don't have personally, but he's one of the strongest male units, he's like a reverse Echidna, which makes him much better than Echidna. Bishops are like mages with longer range and higher attack, but fragile and with healing skills instead of attack skills.

You should probably feed half your cc'd units into echidna to increase her level as much as possible. She is very strong against avenger type enemies because she can deal damage to kill them, while also healing against their increased damage.

Start by feeding off Karma and Anya, because they are worth a lot more exp, then go through your gold soldiers. Definitely keep Valerie, he is very good against unarmored foes, the rest is up to personal preference.

Given my only frame of reference for events is the Vampire Bride which started the same day I began playing, I don't exactly have context for how difficult other events are. I have however gathered that elves have high MR, meaning the magic damage units I've tended to rely on will be far less useful, hence my asking what would be most advantageous to level before the event starts, and I'd rather not miss out on potentially good event units like I did with the Vampire Bride event on account of not being ready.

Depends on what you need?
Cypria, and most rogues in general, are squish as fuck. So I don't always use them even if I want to. They hit faster and dodge more to make up for it. so if the one you want to take on with it deals physical damage, use them. Also use them if you want a troublesome enemy dead and you can pop her skill at the right time. Then pray.

Valkyries add points for each kill, when you retract them you get more of the cost back(when CCd) have more HP, more MR, more def. In Kerry's case, her skill grants her higher attack. When it comes to magic dmg dealing foes, she's your better bet.

Is it actually worth leveling Cloris? People almost always seem to but with both maxed out she has 366 attack while Caliope has 336. Due to the fact you can't cost reduce her you wind up paying an extra 5 points or 50% more for only 8.9% more attack. She has a nicer skill I guess, though you can't really level it.

Now, suppose unit D is blocking the lich. Its priority is solely on D until D dies/withdraws. If you started placing unit E, F, G, etc., it would focus on the last letter of the alphabet (in range) once D was dealt with.

Anyone else getting just a white screen for PeroPero?
