Can somebody please confirm that R Player drops more frames than a carpenter who just fondled a juicy donut and a stick of butter?

I tried screencapping multiple times, with different setups, even going as far as shutting everything down but the video player. Then I only played the video without even recording and noticed stuttering like crazy.

R Player also seems to run at 60 fps which is entirely pointless since the JAVs I know (and have seen on r18) are all 29.97 fps. It has no configuration options whatsoever.

So not only am I being forced to use a proprietary video player, log in through the internet and receive my files in a format as modern as animated gifs, the fucking VIDEO PLAYER is having trouble PLAYING A VIDEO.

Welp, Dxtory doesn't recognise WMP. According to the dev, there's no way to force Dxtory to target a certain process either. Well you might try OBS. Maybe that's what I'll do too. It offers encoding directly to x264 which isn't what I like, but it does offer Monitor Capture, which would mean it's independent from the process that's running. If WMP is really running more smoothly than R Player then you would probably get a more steady picture with OBS, in exchange for worse overall quality. Not sure what kind of bitrates are reasonable with OBS.
