I thought Rhythm Tengoku Best+ was casual and an insult to the series at first, but after the game fake endings you twice you get to play the original versions of the games without the intelligence-insulting difficulty and shit music.

I'd say there is double the amount of games than on the DS/Wii versions. And the difficulty after clearing the casual main story mode is pretty high, especially on challenge mode.

If you guys have an exploitable 3DS(9.2 firm for CFW) or are willing to import it, you won't be disappointed.

Jubeat is easy compared to other games, but still requires decent amount of dedication to develop muscle memory. Other than that it's memorization and timing/rhythm. Probably one of the most enjoyable games to play casually because you can progress quite fast. I guess some people would call jubeat gimmicky due to some silly songs, but it applies to most bemani games. Plenty of stupidity to be found everywhere.

The gimmick with SDVX is that it's intentionally difficult to read with its overlapping notes and confusing woosh colors. People can sightread IIDX and Pop'n (see the latest KAC) despite those games being objectively harder and having a much higher skill ceiling. With SDVX, people track crash it on sightread and then PUC it by the end of the week.

With motioninjoy you can set the sticks left-right directions to move the mouse (left stick for x right stick for y) which is what bemanitools picks up for the knobs.
Then just set the face/arrow buttons to the white keys however you want and L1/R1 to FX.

I used to play KBM a lot. There's a great disparity between the easier and most difficult songs. Timing windows are very lenient to compensate for varying depth of release on holds, MIDI lag and other factors. Play 1st Mix stuff like Kimi ni Ai Ni Yuokou, Shake and Mighty Guy to get better at placement. IF you haven't played piano use two hands, one for each octave. I recommend learning how to one hand sections with wheeling so you aren't totally fucked. Make sure you find a comfortable speed mod and use a towel if you have to with slower songs. If you've played other Bemani before you should just play Real/Light+ to begin with.

YO how can I make these skins

I went to Yifans today. Sound Voltex and the new IIDX still aren't there, and I couldn't see them in the storage area. There were two girls in front of the IIDX machine so I played DDR with a friend while I waited for them to leave. I haven't played IIDX in 2 or 3 months and failed a level 6 song, before passing a level 6, 2 7's and an 8.

I see stepmania has a beatmania mode with 7key and a scratch. Does anyone actually use that or make songs for it? Can it run bms?

Arm/wrists movements matter more, but to train those all you really need is to keep playing dense stuff to build up stamina.
If you really want to work on your fingers just tap any hard surface as you would a button as quickly as you can for as long as you can. Do so for all the fingers in a similar position as you would when playing. What the benefits would be, if any, you'll find out soon enough.
Mostly it's about practicing enough to develop efficient and precise muscle memory. There really aren't many shortcuts asides from ensuring your practice regime is at the right point of challenge (not too high or low).

Pretty much, I would have gotten into it a long time ago but I wasn't willing to put so much effort into it cause I knew I wouldn't be that good anyways no matter what. I personally would like the beatmaps to be keysounded like in BMS, would be very cool even if only for BMS/bemani musics.
