Eh it's not so much as a non-idol fan. I just really like the music, the tempo, the kind of feeling behind it. I liked Anataboshi and a lot of Koharu's stuff too. It's just something about the music, that really appeals to me as a listener.

I still remember the first time I heard Anataboshi I re-listened to it like hundreds of times. With Denpa Gumi it was 強い気持ち・強い愛 and Future Diver that did it for me. I'd love to see them live but not knowing when to shake my glow stick intimidates me a little. I was happy when the Baby Metal concert I went to was pretty much a normal rock concert.

I definitely understand the appeal of idols and I like all the girls, they're cute, but mostly my interest is the music. I've never had a lot of interest in HP or AKB48. I do wish I'd put more effort into knowing Japanese so I can see what they talk about on twitter, but that's about it.

Don't sweat about the waving the glowstick. No one is requiring you to be fluent in all the calls and chants, you can enjoy the gig just by your own. I do have to warn you though, once you feel the energy of a real Dempagumi concert, you can't return to just enjoying the music.

I consider myself a pretty hardcore denpafan and I share your sentiment about HP and AKB48. They don't work.

They're supposed to do gigs in countries like Thailand, USA, Taiwan and so on. They were in Indonesia a couple of weeks ago and they have a gig with Shokotan this weekend in China.

next week will be France nd the week after that is the UK. These will be a part of conventions.

Tour finale (?) will be near Mt Fuji in Lake Kawaguchi Stellar Theatre.

I guess I'll give you guys a quick Hyper Japan update.

Dempagumi was a little late so the gallery was pretty empty for the whole day and the Q&A was an hour later. I suppose we're getting two concerts on Sunday to make up for it though.

The Q&A was pretty meh because the translator was shit. He didn't know what 2.5D meant or what a One Man Live is and oh boy, did he fuck up every anime title.

I think the biggest problem was neither the translator nor the interviewer really knowing Dempagumi well so a lot of questions were just shit.

The best thing today was them announcing Dempagumi CDs being published in Europe.

Looking forward to tomorrow though, concert should be fun and we finally should be able to buy merch. It still hasn't really dawned on me that I met Dempagumi
