I think that this is a hobby that attracts perverts (and weird people) in general. I generally see RPers stereotyped as having mental issues of some form (Though some of those people would also classify just being a pervert as a "mental issue"), and I think there is a reason for that on some level.

That's one of its perks, really. You will never get to do some things in life, fiction makes anything possible.

I like to keep it reasonable though, godmodding is bad and you see too many popular examples of that. Can't quite think of any right now though.

The worst aspect is that everybody wants their character to be the special "main character". Nobody wants to be the loser/weaker/ugly character. It was all pretty innocent though because it was on a moderated site. If somebody wanted to take it further they had to "fade to black". Now it doesn't interest me anymore. In retrospect, I think it made me a better writer because people had to write a minimum of one or two paragraphs in each post.
