Visual Novels are fucking pathetic.

They offer nothing but a fleeting, temporary illusion for the player in helping him imagine that, for a split second, his life has relevance and importance, and that he has friends and girls to talk to and love. It's the worst kind of lie, the lie that forces you to believe it out of pure desperation and sorrow.

Well fiction is fiction, is it not? I cant really see the big difference between VNs and books and movies.

Even though I dont really know how good I think that VNs are compared to other media I dont really think that I share your oppinion since fiction is still just fiction in the end.
But then again a VN is just another media featuring text, graphics and sound and thus delliviring the message or in any novels case (including VNs) the story with the help of that.

So VNs is the same thing as books or movies and so on. It really is.
