Not really, also the title of it is also known as "Warship Girls" in China.

It basically doesn't just touch on ship girls from the IJN, but pretty much EVERYWHERE around the world. Japan, China, Germany, British, Amercian, Russian, you name it.

I remember /jp/ talked about this game long ago... but I guess it was forgotten and ignored...

But basically, the stories I heard from most people who have touched upon this game is while this game does pretty much mimic Kancolle in many ways. The one thing people note is that it somehow does things better compared to what Kancolle does. And because of this, it's gain attention over time and thus the Chinese company wants to now expand this game into the American market.So they're going to stick thier foot into the door by being a part of E3.

Long story short, it's a kancolle clone that gets away with being not so much a clone by outdoing things Kancolle never bother to do which would make thier game better.

Still irks me they're really trying to push this game to everywhere now. But if someone were to question them at the panel, it might put Kancolle in the spotlight instead.

It's been a long time since I followed up on the game on Warship Girls, but from what I remember... there were a series of pros and cons to it.

Pros:
Improved interface system that allowed for quicker and more efficent methods of changing equipment and resupplying.

Route paths shown to player allowing to an easy method to completing sorties.

Player list consisting of recipes that were used by players to score drop for said warship girl / equipment.

Warship girls don't die when they lose thier health.... Mileage may vary on this.

Cons:

No voice acting

It still feels like it tries to copy Kancolle in many ways. Abyssals, ship girls and most of the system mechanics are the same. It even uses sound effects from the Kancolle game itself.

Premium system seems more geared to taking more money compared to Kancolle to get some things. Still F2W if I recall correctly, just seems to favor more money to get everything if you want it.

There's probably more, but these are the things that come mind from what I remember from the reading player feedback on it. Also have a Chinese grade Abyssal.

Mogami-class is good enough if you need CAVs, the difference in fighter power between Tone-class Kai 2 and Mogami class Kai is much less than that between Fusou-class Kai 2 and Ise-class Kai.
