I download shitloads of untranslated VN to play with Atlas/AGTH, but I only have had the desire to get through around half of two different VNs. I have a dreadful feeling that I'll never play these VNs which I love so much because I secretly feel disgust at myself for trying to play something I have such a hard time understanding.

So I was at the gym today (don't worry, as a NEET I use/steal my dad's gym membership, since we share the same name) and I see some asian girl reading manga while on the exercise bike. I was surprised, because she literally had a big ass stack of 5 manga sitting on the console. She was semi-attractive as well. "The Hero's Theme" from Vandal Hearts 2 was playing on my MP3 player, which boosted my confidence as I went over to sit on the bike next to her. I asked her what she was reading, and it turned out to be the usual: shoujo and yaoi manga, but in Chinese. We then get into a discussion about what she's reading: I ask her if her manga is any good, what's it about, etc. This goes on for another 5-10 minutes or so. After she finishes her time on the bike (I checked her console to see 30 minutes) we exchange goodbyes and then she goes on her merry way.

I wonder, how would have a normal-friend with good social skills have handled this situation? It isn't a big deal to me, but I often wonder what is the "correct" way to go about these things. Maybe should I have asked her more about herself, and maybe get her number, e-mail, MSN, etc? It is a mystery to me; I suppose I will someday figure it all out. Oh well!
