People may think being a NEET is the road of "taking it easy" but all it is is a path of regret, depression, loneliness, and missed opportunities.

There is nothing easy about being a NEET. It's hard being socially crippled, It's rough not wanting to go outside because you are bitter and jaded at the world around you, it's rough having this evolve into a fear of actual people.

It's hard when no one cares and at Flanfly O' Clock, you're still up wondering why you should care either.

Realizing your uselessness and wanting to die but either too lazy or too scared to do it. These are the issues that plague the mind of a NEET whether they want to admit it or not. Touhou, Anime, this Japanese Culture in general, all minor distractions. It's hell once you are left with your own thoughts and the wonder of how you've fallen this far. It's even worse when you are left to yourself in reflection and think about all the "ifs" and "maybes", all the things you could've done to prevent your current status.

Being NEET is the abandonment of hope.
Being NEET IS Hell.

I had to apply for jobs to keep getting autism bucks, eventually I applied for one where I was the only applicant.
Now I cant just quit, and I dont want to piss off my boss enough to fire me as I have low self esteem.

The worst part is I now have a lot of money, yet it's totally worthless. All the shit I have bought hasnt been used much because I have little time, and when I do have time off, I am tired.

NEET for 5 years, truNEET for 3. Live with a roommate who I "saved" from being homeless about a decade ago, after I got laid off I had trouble finding work for a while and eventually gave up. My roommate feels too guilty about what I've done for them that he won't ever kick me out. Plus he makes enough money that my neet lifestyle doesn't really impact him anymore. I had big dreams of being a truneet once. It was the perfect setup, I had just graduated high school and had no aspirations, my dad didn't care that I mooched off him (he was a NEET himself for 10 years), and I was looking forward to maybe even beating my uncle's high NEETscore of 49 years without a job or school. Sadly after a mere 3 years things fell apart and I had to give up the dream, maybe someday I'll return.

NEET for 6 years, truNEET for 4. I just want to find a job so I can afford things. Being a poor NEET is fucking garbage. You feel like you have no reason to live and nothing to look forward to.

Plus not having 3D girls to talk to really works away at your self-esteem over time.
