It beat Zeome with ease. I grinded some AP for him, gave him Tactical Martial Arts, Tactical Attack and 500+ speed.
After that and a little gearing for Nether resist he could survive a lot, I thought he would be ore of a tanker but he easily over damaged me and my silly little lvl 150 magic arrows.
I was having only him with me till around lvl 70-ish, but when I saw he over comes me with ease and the ability to just spend less than 5000 gold to train I started to train up a potion/panty thrower miss vampire, She has no nether invoke weapon yet so she's quite fragile but in 1v1 arena battles she can stunlock mostly everything for her panty has darkness bolt invoke and nerve damage as well.

Up to this point I've gene engineered almost all of the skills into her and in the process have boosted her levels significantly. Did this through dominating and gene engineering monsters in dungeons I go to and gene engineering creatures from the slave master in Derphy. Her stat problem should vanish once I begin feeding her Curarias. I have 1500 Curarias waiting for her but I'll probably need more. My only lament is her speed. The point of the god items is so you can train specific stats, aside from opatos's speed penalty, which is for AP gain.

Kumi's gives a huge penalty to healing and mana regen, so you have a lot of "ticks" to regen to full health/mana every time. Since it trains on every tick, this means every time you rest while on low health/low mana, you get a lot more individual ticks since you're healing a lot less per tick.

Jure's makes you do a lot less damage, so you can bash things to train riding and tactics and whatnot without killing enemies outright.

Etc, etc.

Not long really with time manipulations. My valkyrie, Yuki, would go through stacks of 1000 Curarias in mere minutes. If you lower your speed temporarily through various means such as burdening yourself with cargo you can advance time quickly by resting. Specifically, I lowered my speed down to 10 and as time flew my character, Kai, and Yuki would get hungry and would end up eating tons of herbs.

Kai and Yuki were both able to get a crap ton of stats through this method. This method is also a fantastic way of making your character sleepy because of all the time that passes by resting, as odd as that sounds. By causing your character to be sleepy often you can increase your spell potentials really fast which is awesome if you're a spellcaster.

I think you can give food to pets now and when they're hungry they'll go into their inventory and eat whatever you gave them. I could be wrong though. I personally don't give my pets food so they can hold it in their inventory. All I do is just drop food on the ground when I see their bar become blue. I also tend to do this a lot since I employ the time manipulation method, >>13597288, a lot. I should clarify, the reason why I don't just give herbs to my ally to hold is because I usually retrieve my herbs from the 4th dimensional pocket and just drop it so my ally can eat it. No real reason to have her hold it because she just consumes it all very fast through time manipulation.

To answer your question, yes and no. The level penalty continuously increases. When it gets to the point that you wouldn't even receive 1 effective EXP (.001) from an action, there's a 1/(SkillLevel/10) chance that the game will take pity on you and give you 1 exp. That 1exp can be further increased by the LER bonus to a maximum of 5 exp (.005), which is still incredibly punishing.

I should probably address the hours portion of your question first. Kai is my second character and all the knowledge and experience of my first character, along with knowledge gathered from benevolent anons, wiki, and the elona forums, was put into the creation of Kai. Knowledge of what to do and how to do it has shaved hours off my game time. I'm convinced that if any veteran player had to make a new character today their new character would probably reach the power of their former character in a fraction of the time simply because they know what they're doing.

Now for medals, I see that other anons have pretty much given you the gist of what I did. I will now give more details. This will probably be lengthy since I want to explain my character's unorthodox beginning and progression but it should dovetail nicely into how I farm medals and why I can do them so fast. Hopefully it might help out some people getting into the game as well.

When I started my adventure I had 2 goals in mind. 1) Reach South Tyris ASAP to take on the quest to get a Kumi statue so I can begin turning in little sisters to get copies of said statue. 2) Get Speed to 2000. I rolled an Eulderna Gunner and started scavenging the first floor of the puppy caves for things to sell as well as magic books since I'm a caster as well. After getting enough gold to get geared up I then did escort and hunting quests for the platinum. I used said plat to buy skills I didn't have such as gardening, cooking, weight lifting, etc. I then took up harvesting quests in Yowyn and I did not care whether I succeeded at the harvesting quests as all I cared about was raising stats through those quests at the time. After I got stronger I then used the wiki to track down the spots of medals you can find in various towns and areas. Most people would use these initial medals for the shield tonfa, sage helmet, tax box, or Diablo. Understandable purchases but I wanted the void license instead.

(cont) The void would become my go to place to train and get loot. While doing all of this I began doing the main quest and getting the books required to join the mage guild.

While in the void I would train my skills, spells, and level up. I would use wishing wells to wish for potions of evolution and secret experience for feats.

After cobbling up a resist suit and getting enough power through level and skills I was able to finish the main quest. I went to South Tyris got my Kumi statue and set about creating my farms. Up to this point I have not touched a single dungeon meaning my dungeon levels were incredibly low yet my character was incredibly powerful in comparison. I set out to abuse this situation as much as possible.

I purposely kept dungeon levels as low as I could and bee lined to bosses that I would one shot or at least kill very fast. I would ignore monsters and loot, race to the stairs, and kill the boss. Dungeon clearing took seconds and I would cross back and forth from North Tyris and South Tyris clearing dungeons.

Dungeon levels did not influence whether a boss would drop medals or how much. A level 1 dungeon had a boss that had an equal amount chance to drop 3 medals as a boss found in a lv 50 dungeon. Dungeon level also didn't hamper my search much for big daddies to kill. Gold I can get through selling food and doing quests. As for raw power my eventual herb farms took care care of that. Skills and spells were handled by going to the void. Due to all of this I didn't really have an incentive to increase the dungeon levels and I milked my situation as much as I could. It wasn't until I got access to Irva that I began clearing higher level dungeons. Most of my speed has come from hermes potions, speed uppers, kokou, raw shoes, and herbs. A tiny bit from AP and I wish I utilized it more back then but I didn't know the AP rewards that well back then.

I wouldn't necessarily say I was rushing the void since I was doing quests for gold and plat to get skills. The medal farming to get the license happened as I was doing the quests though. For instance escort quests would take me to various cities and when I reached a new location I would check the wiki and see where all the medals were in that particular city. I'd also travel around when I exhausted a city of quests and in the travels I'd venture out to other places like the truce grounds and get medals there for example.

Can't really give you an exact time when I gained access to the void but I think it happened when I was nearing learning all of the non guild exclusive skills. One could rush the void if they want though. It's just simply following the list on the wiki of all the medal locations.

The wiki unfortunately has quite a bit of outdated information, so it's difficult to correct everything. I do try to correct things that are wrong when I see them though.

The spreadsheet I'm working on now (mentioned in >>13598896) will probably be the last big thing I work on. I didn't summon spirits to parties with him, and I had no Necromancy groupies with me. I didn't even know that would work.

I know I've risen my Con too stupidly high for my level since I'm so addicted to strip mining and eating lots of bread but anyway... The most efficient ways I can think of to train con up until its potential drops too rapidly would include:

1. Equipping both Green God Thorn (try overcasting/self-inflicted damage) and Sasumata god jewels (and yes it dose train the polearm skill) for endlessly training the skills attributed to Con.

2. Always make sure to bring lots of bread, corpse (preferably hamburger/steak) and potential potions wherever you are so that potential never suffers as you raise it the stat higher.

3. And possibly the best place to be to accomplice all this in one fell swoop would be the puppy cave as you can endlessly strip mine the constantly resetting maps over and over again and use enemies as makeshift elona vanilla sandbags (try walling them in).

Other methods I'm not too certain but wouldn't hurt to try would be to wear really heavy armor and equipment with low DV maybe so that some enemies could make a scratch, and having a shield in one arm (if your using the god jewel) and another in your shoot slot. Also if your alchemy is high enough and if you carry a kit with you, the materials gather-able within the puppy cave might be enough to make potential potions as I've heard low level dungeons are best for gathering materials, though I'm not entirely certain.

The pierce does work, which is nice. But finding a good one is next to impossible. I can only find the weak 2d5 ones at the festival, which ends with me doing only 1,700 consistent damage, strong or weak.

Unless you're specifically trying to maintain certain symptoms, ether disease isn't a problem because cure corruption potions are everywhere. I was selling them wholesale to cheese the thief's guild quests and I still have dozens and dozens left sitting around in my home.

Where do you even find a good lightsaber? All the ones I've seen suck complete ass. Might just try to get Moonlight. Hopefully I can find some cursed flying scrolls too, weirdly enough I still haven't seen a single flying scroll.

I wish someone would develop a wrapper that had the zoom + tile scaling intact without fucking up desktop resolution.

Better yet a remake with a real engine, more resolutions, larger logs, etc.

alright there is conflicting information on the wiki.

one section says luck DOES NOT have a potential (the attrib page). The other says it does (4 leaf clover).

I am saving edible luck gear to train it and need to know if I should be farming clovers or just eating that shit as is.

i'm on elona+ 1.45

I wouldn't really worry over it anon. Luck is a pretty underwhelming stat from what I've heard in prior threads and discussions about it with people testing it in wizard mode. Its effects can be utilized at the blackjack tables but even then there is an upper threshold. I don't know the exact number offhand but once crossed more luck won't really help you as much. Most people can get by with just hitting the tables on their lucky days. Also, if you think luck will help you get better gear think again. Even with huge amounts of luck the results aren't really worth writing home about. Go ahead and do whatever you want with the stuff that will raise luck for you/train it.
