Japanese don't use Android. I was in Japan for 2 weeks last year and it's all iPhones when it comes to smartphones. I saw a bunch of old flip phones that older people had. But there's no Androids. Android is for poor people in Africa.

I can double confirm this as somebody else who has been to the land of the flowing cum.
The only company who are remotly interested in android is domoco because they use to own a majority of the flip phone market and could force people to pay for silly apps which they're attempting to do with android, iOS is a bit more locked down in terms of what carriers can do with it.

I live in Japan and that's blatantly not true. Apple is probably more popular, yes, but I see tons Androids. Mostly Sony and Samsung, a few Sharps and LGs.
