just finished Pretty X Cation 2. Better than the previous game but i felt it was too short. The art is great but theres so little of it. Oh well we'll get more of that with the append patches. Any other good games we should be playing this month?

Did you use AlphaRom to run it?

I gave Lovely Cation 2 a shot after a few anons from the previous threads recommended it, and I find it quite enjoyable. The heroines have a lot more personality and are much more colourful than the bland ones in PxC1 and PxC2. It also features more interaction among other heroines (comparing to the PxC games) and the items feel like they're more utilised. Initially I was quite annoyed with some of the side characters but they turned out to be kinda hilarious as I played on (or maybe I just have shit sense of humour, who knows).

I guess plenty of modern moege are too focused on emphasising the features/charm points of the heroines that the storyline & individual routes always feel like an afterthought. This leads to too much forced drama being inserted in the last minute. I quite enjoy games like Lovely Cation 2 with the drama being minimised to an almost non-existent level and the focus on the ichaicha moments. Of course it's still a pretty bland game but it's not so bad once in a while.

Done with Kaoru's route in H,W just a few minutes ago. There were plenty of interesting scenes I could talk about but that ending left a really strong impression, plus the ED is one of the best I've listened to. A better and more satisfying route than Natsumi's, I'd say. Still, it had plenty of similar scenes, but that makes sense plot-wise. Expecting other routes to be much more different (and a bit less dramatic, it kind of gets in the way in Natsumi+Kaoru's route).

I was reading it a little while ago, ended up dropping though.

The prologue section of the game was fantastic, a really good growing up drama, but not too melodramatic and a lot of fun. Some good humor as well as great characters from Miu and even the protagonist. Then the prologue ended and it all went to shit.

The main story had a lot weaker character interactions, but the biggest issue was how the story progressed. The two choices weren't just "which girl do you want to fuck" it became "which girl does the protagonist magically fall in love with?" The character interactions and emotional impact the prologue had was completely lost, and was replaced with pointless drama. The two routes I read, Misaki's and Mikoto's, were just one big delay on the confession scene. It's not that I disagree with the logic or anything in the routes, I just plain didn't enjoy it like I enjoyed the prologue. All the fun from the start just feels completely missing, like someone different wrote the rest of the game.

In short a great start that ends up falling flat on its face after the prologue.

I just decided to read the rest of Chrono Clock after finishing Kuro's route and Miu doesn't exactly have a route. After you clear the five other heroines you just start the game over and and choose an option during Miu's second confession. Blah Blah Blah protag confesses to Miu and they decide to go out and they kiss, then you get a short scene of them expressing how happy they are at the end and then her H scene's get unlocked. I guess you can consider the prologue her route, but man am I disappointed.

All enemies including the dragon are undead so you have to kill them twice, The only units that can cross the chasm are flying units which are limited, there are no circles on the other side you can capture to send land units. To top it all off those dark angel cunts hits for around 1/3 of HP as well as spawn every three rounds. I just can't see how I am supposed to beat this

Finished Evenicle. What an enjoyable and comfy game. I thought it was just going to be another mediocre alicesoft title so I played a bunch of other april releases first. I finished PrettyxCation 2.
Suzuka and Azusa were the best, I particularly enjoyed Suzuka the most because it's nice to see a senpai character that actually behaves like a normal person and not an oh so mature nee-san type despite being just one year older than the MC, she was really cute too.
Chitose was kinda boring, nice and all, she was more of an older neighbor than a teacher, but PC did the teacher better with Komachi. Honami was a bore.
That said, the emote was really good and made the characters look way cuter than with just standard sprites, even if there were a couple of glitches, mostly on Azusa's route and her yandere eyes, Chitose had a couple too, it's creepy.
