All that matters is your ability to S-rank the boss. If, for example, you can S-rank 90% of the time on easy but only 40% on hard, the drop rate for hard would have to be double that of easy to be worth going for. If you MUST have Yuu and can't reliably S-rank Hard, then it might be better to just farm her on whatever difficulty you can S-rank most of the time and reset the gauge until you have her. After than you can just clear on whatever difficulty you want.

I got in on the last lottery in February and after two months of playing I thought I would be lucky to get through the event on medium and had already made my peace with easy mode. I know the event overall was easy but I really didn't think I had a shot at this, my runs to get to final form were so abysmal that I was about ready to give up. I got to final form last night and stopped to spend the day sparkling up and setting up the boss support fleet and they had the miracle run I needed on the first sortie. So proud of my girls. 15.2cms are good on Nagatos so they won't be overweight. 15.5s are good for Yamatos, though any bigger (20.3s+) give you up to 15% accuracy reduction. Since FBBs are more limited in the equip pool, I've been sticking with the yellow 15.5s on my FBBs. Way better than 35.6's. My BBs literally never miss now!

Even then there's no guarantee because RNG can fuck you over and each drop instance is independent of one another.
