The main reason, in my opion is the ease of having a cat, if you gotta have a pet, thats cute and that you can pet, + keep in an partment, cats are the answer. Dogs have to take walks, and when they run away the might not come back. Cats have the sixth sense of home, and you just let them out at day and they will come home at night. And they don't eat as much as a medium seized dog or bigger.
