Pretty x Cation 2 gets a 6/10. The item system was pretty stupid. If they had more instances of it interacting with the sex scenes it would have been more interesting, like the cat toy with shimakaze. Otherwise the game was generic but at least it was easy to read. It was my first VN playthrough in japanese.

Personally, LxC is the one I enjoyed the most and had the best balance of ichaicha, drama and H-scene for my tastes.
Didn't care for any of the heroines except one in LxC2, and whereas I liked all of them but one in the first and it had the best voice cast out of the 4 games for me.

PxC is pretty mediocre. I don't think I managed to even finish a single route. PxC2 is better than the first, but me and my dick haven't managed to make it to the end of a route yet, so I can't really say more about it. Dating sim elements have feel incredibly less important than in LxC in both to me at least.

Quest + Magnum struggled due to a real lack of much of a plot (you have to get to the Magnum quests before you really get anything).

Also it has lots of characters but doesn't really develop them at all. A lot of the time it really depended on people already liking the characters from earlier games.

Uroburous made in Alice-soft is a fun group of villain but Evenicle's plot is pretty mediocre, setting is just the Rance world with a twist too.
I enjoyed the plot of Magnum more

And yeah Rance Quest is basically a fandisk, you shouldn't play it if you don't already know the characters and where they came from/what they did

Pretty meh. Better than Electro Arms from the same team but I still wouldn't really recommend it if you have anything better to read.
It has a lot of repetitive infodumps, spends inordinate amounts of time looking at maps when everything happens in a few settings in one city and the other factions never really make an appearance. The art and sound direction also seem inferior. Too many cheap splash effects and not enough drawings.
And while I'm not a fan of Senshinkan at least it has crazy fun monsters while this has a dude in a glass tube and a few lame cyborgs throwing fire/ice balls. And everything else it cribbed from Fullmetal Alchemist.

This sounds even more negative than I intended. It actually had a lot of fun parts and I don't regret reading it. So if you have nothing better to do and can get over the sheer verbosity then have at it.

Finished Takashi's chapters. Miyako is definitely more annoying compared to Asuka, though it's hard to fault her since that's the whole point of her route and all. At least Miyako's bad end was hilarious.

Just MBAM for an occassional scan + VirusTotal for cracks and other potentially suspicious things. And also I block pretty much I can in Firefox.

I tried tanking the southern boss with the brush girls spawn (worked surprisingly well) while using everybody else to kill the northern one.

By the time I killed her a wave of fairies already spawn again and they are pretty hard to handle while getting to the southern one.

Guess you have to take on both.

While north boss was inactive, gathered enough mana to summon heavy-hitting squad at base, lured boss to base and got her there.

Just finished the first h-scene of Aisa, and seems like Asa project is still really really bad at heroine routes. Main heroine routes may be better than this, but at least Aisa's route sucks for sure. First of all I couldn't understand why the hell did mc fall in love with Aisa, He just started saying "omg I love Aisa and I gotta confess her asap" at the first min of route. Yeah I know most of games dont make a proper reason for this, but in this one there wasn't any event or shit.

And even more why the hell did everyone suddenly decide to support her? Just 1 min ago all of them were fighting for MC, then without any event or trigger they've gone to "go Aisa confess him, we'll support you". It feels too forced. It really sucks they don't use any of the new BGMs from the Acta est Fabula patch / rerelease in Marie's route, f.ex. the Einherjars' themes. That's one major reason I didn't like Marie's route as much as Kei or Rea's though her final chapter was easily the best part of the game. It's also the reason I enjoyed Amantes amentes ending slightly more than the Acta est Fabula one even though the original fits better with the whole apoptosis theme and Mercurius gets his deserved finale. It's a crime against nature for the final battle to not have a completely unique BGM.
