You change your display name in the settings tab you can find if you open the menu in game.
If you are sending you should always send to as many as you can, since there is a higher chance of the FAW being killed fast. If people don't make it, too bad they were too slow. I have tons of comrades where sends last max 30 seconds.

Yes, arcanas you use on the HUR before you awaken will carry over to a GUR. You will only need about 5000 more ATK/DEF to max a GUR after awakening a maxed HUR.

Lilim is just a SR so switching her with a HUR feels like the team will become a glass cannon but if I remove an AoE buffer, when the card buffed by Lilim dies, I won't deal much damage with the others.

Due to class work I've barely been able to play which puts me in a unique position of seeing just how many active players we really have. Which seems to be around 8,000 which is very close to what it's always been. Which I find surprising since the turnover rate is high I imagined a slowly decreasing number of players. Yet they've managed to keep people joining to always make up the difference.

I've been a part of many MMOs that died over the years. Trickster, Grand Chase, Lucent Heart, Aika, Eden Eternal and they either lose players till they become empty and unplayable or they close altogether.

Maybe something is different this time.

Old archwitches can be obtained again through the Witch Gate now, it cycles every event. There were a few events in the past where old archwitches appeared in the normal campaign maps, but we haven't had one in a while.

A lot of really old cards haven't come back yet, but there's still hope. Ranking reward cards likely will never come back though.

All those RR are no so pointless compared to my "meta" GUR free FAW team (3x redeye, HL, choco).

This was 1st event in long time when I didnt go for top 300, less time on game, got all girls I wanted seriously I dont see myself ranking in future unless art is nice (only reason I ranked for Caracal) or RRs get GURable...

Farm every AW/FAW you can so you can dream of looting good cards and begin to build your team.

Illuminatia is a single target unleaser with 2 procs just like Seagull (Furinkazan has 3). Sedna and New Girl are 25% attack up, Crusher is 300% self attack up same as Cinderella but with more HP.

The turn Crusher got her proc Iroha cancelled buffs. Because Ribbon Girl's heals are infinite I still very nearly beat her to death with Crusher for 600,000 damage but ultimately lost.

So the point of this is for new players killing Archwitches is still very helpful. The more quickly you kill Archwitches the more FAWs you send (duh) plus getting Ace helps you get better cards.

So until you get better cards I would recommend Crusher hands down (Cinderella too), R unleashers and infinite healers like Ribbon Girl can keep you alive long enough to get Ace if nothing else.

R turn skippers are admittedly trash. Basilisk just couldn't cut it. Wasted space.

If you don't have SR buffers, now is a good time, except for this event being a little bad for ranking, still this permanent buffer will kick start your team in a major way. Spending maiden tickets for swords/shoes is generally a smarter deal due to summons ridiculously bad rates, but then again it's the only end game left. Rank rewards are useless end game now, too. Anyway, if you need team buffers, do it now, it's worth it.

Radical changes to the efficacy of ranking, making actually playing the game purely detrimental. This was probably compounded for a time after 0 bp FAws were removed, and after a while of being withered down by alliance pay battles and generally shit mechanics it all just added up. There have been so many small changes like great damage SRs awarding extra points for more p2w. It's really not worth listing them all.

You'll only use healers in campaign and early on for AW teams when you have nothing better. Turn skippers are better than healers for AWs because you always get your soldiers back when you die but there's just no way to recommend an R turn skipper.

Since I've slapped Nubee with a wad of cash to fast-access basic sender infrastructure, I've been getting event AW cards. Looks like I can put in Iroha and Super Iroha into my first AW team with R unleashers... once I grind up atk/def on Super Iroha. Trying to do that before using her (i.e. letting her get EXP) to save gold.

For a new player who wants to collect the finer art of R cards, getting the medals to max out atk/def is the bottleneck. AW/FAW cards came to me before I could get even one girl maxed.

For us new players, getting good cards is a matter of people & time management: get active killer comrades/alliance and send them as many AW/FAW as you can. Might want to try on getting the current FAW if you want, with 20% shine bonus and maxed attack UR crit can get 300k+ and with a 200% buff 999k.
Might be painful to fill the hearts for a new player though, I'm at 3 hearts full and its about 25 FAW kill/heart so far.
Of course free players don't get those 400% UR buffer or 3 proc critters but with good comrades or alliance you can still make a decent FAW killing team.

Free FAWs encouraged spending 10h+ at this game killing sends now with limited resources ranking IS easier and less time consuming.

IMO thing that pissed people are GUR FAWs beeeing better than RR.

Look at current GUR FAW, dark criter with 3 procs, hands down beats Antigone and that other dark criter with 2 proc and even is better (SC, def, att) than Teza..

VV is better than Mad Scientist.
Huang Long beats any RR buffer even wolfwoman.

Currently the old cards become redunant, RRs are "meh" at best since you cant GUR them.

You can make her HSR and medal the other, feed her attack arcana and use her to pound the enemies to death, maxed attack self buffer can do 70-80k per attack if she procs. My first AW Accordion carried me for a long time before I get my first HUR Critter.
Might want to wait till next event before spending arcana to see if the Sanzo is any good though.
Add HSR turn skipper, critter, healer, Iron fan if possible and it would be killing Lv200 AW most of the time.

It doesn't matter how good a card you get if you don't invest the arcana in it. Perfect evolutions optimise the soldier count, but atk/def needs to be pumped up well beyond that.

You can probably hold off on making the investment decision until you actually have the medals to max one girl.

In short, don't just throw away the resources you have available now. Use your HSR Nezha as she is now, if you manage to build a full team of HSRs/SR team buffers, then I would consider maxing out the attack of one of your cards. You are going to need to medals just to upgrade skills at first. I started killing FAWs reliably before I maxed my first card aswell, so don't bother too much with it.

Honestly, I had better success maxing just one card and getting a buncha shitty buffers. I ran two HN Military Bands with 2 max attack critters and a turn skipper and did really well against regular arcwitches, though obviously FAWs were basically impossible. I'm sure it would've been relatively similar with self buffers, though when I joined up it just so happened that my first two events gave me critters. I actually also ran an SR healer instead of a turn skipper for a long time too.

TL;DR
Maxing attack early and getting some shitty support cards isn't terrible either.

So does anyone have a rough estimate of UR drop rates from FAW? We've had them for a couple events now, and I'm just curious if I should be grinding for one, or if just the one from affection + ranking is gonna be the most consistent. I'd really like 2 HUR princess iron fans if I can get them, but if the drop rate sucks then I might just say fuck it.

Darn, I just pulled one 2 weeks ago, didn't pull her out of presents yet though so I was unaware.

I just got 2x high vampire in a row while doing the FP summons. Not I made her HSR and her base attack at lvl 8 ist almost as high as my Mia which is level 21 and I have been using almost exclusively since she was the strongest I had.

Should I use up my slimes on high vampire now ? I don't know since I kind of want to "optimelle" everything. I have been hogging all of my resources up until now and I'm lvl 21.

Yeah, High Vampire sucks a lot. It's okay if you don't have anything better, but it's pretty garbage. I'd definitely use Mia. She even has better top level stats than High Vampire too!

That being said, there's no reason you can't use both! High Vampire's skill isn't completely worthless when you're just starting off! You'll replace her quickly, but no worries! The better you can get at acing the arcwitches, the more SRs you'll get!
