I know, and I was hoping for one with an OP that wasn't retarded. All it's missing is a reply to the other thread, and it'd be every bit as bland as a general. There was a good bit of time between the last thread, and the one before it. I don't see why there must always be one in the catalog. I don't get who keeps making these fucking generalesque threads that consist of nothing but a subject title and a lukewarm greeting.

I'm thinking of doing a Yukkuri game not unlike Breeding and Simulation in Unity, but instead a hunting game where the player takes the role of a kid with an air rifle.

What elements would you think would be most important to being authentic?

1) Yukkuri behavioral AI
2) Accurate shooting mechanics
3) Terminal ballistics
4) Persistent world elements

You'd want some yukkuri to react to danger by running into their nest hole, some of them to puff up, and some of them to try to heal their injured compatriots with lick-lick.

Definitely, I'm not that great of a programmer, but I do consider the psychology to be very important for authenticity, so I have a long way to go with the AI aspect.

My initial thoughts about the structure of yukkuri AI are as follows:

One a big level, they have to fulfill four basic jobs
1) Movement: go to some specific place
2) Animation:
3) UseObject: to handle things like eating food, or gathering nest material
4) PlaceMarker: to remember particularly easy locations, like the player's garden

Not sure about specific behaviors, whether to make them more goal-based or utility/stimulus based

That being said, what do you guys want to see in the next update for Breed and Simulation?

I want to see the yukkuris show a bit more individuality. Have them declare their own easy spaces.
Also, being able to make little playgrounds for them and stuff would be adorable.
