Not really. Tsukihime is the last game I'd like to see remade. It's not even that old.

It just shows how Type-Moon is these days. They're out of fresh ideas.

In the end it will probably be like the KGNE remake.
Updated graphics, some new elements but overall the same game.
I bet it's going to be overshadowed by Mahou Tsukai no Yoru and Rewrite.

I mean, I'm halfway through Kagetsu Tohya and it's almost as awesome as Tsukihime was. Type-Moon is one of very few companies that can make sequels that don't suck! So why remake, which would give us a mile of what we already know (only in a glittering box) plus an inch of new stuff, when you could get a mile of new stuff instead?

I, for one, would absolutely love a prequel, from the times of SHIKI's inversion impulse, with one (bad) ending leading to Tsukihime, and multiple others, including getting the maids to have a revenge against the old geezer etc. Of course, it would be pretty controversial if it was to be an eroge game... but even without sex, that would be quite awesome.

well, if its just a remake, I dont see the point going through it again. translating it would be pointless too. they could have done a prequel of it like Fate/Zero.

KT always felt like "lots of leftover stuff we couldn't fit into Tsukihime". I can see how lots of the content could be integrated into the remake of Tsukihime. Actually, I'm really hoping that this remake will feature a significantly expanded story, hopefully fleshing out more of the backstory behind Arc and the other True Ancestors, and not just be the same game with new graphics and music and a new route thrown in.
