Hey /jp/, I haven't seen a dakimakura thread in a while. I only own one daki, but I was looking to expand my collection. I think I'm going to get pic related next. My first daki is peachskin and I love it, but I was wondering if 2WT is worth the extra price. How much softer is it and how durable is it?

2WT is fantastic. Definitely worth the money.
Not too sure about durability though since I don't have anything to compare to.

I've been looking for a daki but nothing that already exists is close enough to what I want.
I found this one which is close, and tried to see if I could contact whomever made it and ask them to draw another one the way I want.

The problem is I'm not entirely sure who to contact. From what I can tell slolita made this daki, as on aliexpress and taobao it's under their category.
In the details for the daki it says the artist is "elfuun", but I can't find anything on him/her at all.
It doesn't seem to be on their website (slolita.com - if that's even their official site since it looks only half complete) and the artists on there don't include this elfuun person.

So my question is, did slolita really make this?
And if so are they likely to respond to my request to make a custom one (I can pay)?

I've also tried to contact the official artist for this but he ignores all my emails so fuck that guy I'll get a bootleg if he doesn't want my money.

Or am I missing something? like you guys actually hug your giant pillow while you watch anime and go kissy kissy with it during the day?

Mandarake has a bunch. Yahoo auctions japan will have most popular ones at one time or another, but you'll need a proxy and you'll have to watch the site to see if your desired cover comes up. Hobbyheart has bootlegs of most official ones (usually cospa), and they have them available in any material (2WT being far better than the smooth knit cospa offers in my opinion). You can buy Chinese makers (some bootleg, some not) from ali express directly or alibaba if you can figure that site out. Achobby and slolita are two of the biggest chinese producers, and their covers are all original if that matters to you.

2WT is the gold standard and anything less is usually going to be reserved for cheap bootleggers or blu-ray bonuses and such. The quality of 2WT can vary between makers, though, so you'll have to find what you enjoy the most. I only have personal experience with slolita, hobbyheart, and p80. Slolita is good but feels like it stretches more in one way than the other, hobbyheart is probably the worst but isn't all that bad, and p80 is thick and cool to the touch. Your mileage may vary.

So, im asking about some different sources, maybe some japanese sites? Or should I take it as "if its not uncensored or high-res on these booru sites, better versions just dont exist"?

>> No.13218215

>>13216850
I'm not aware of any Japanese sites that do that. Most people follow circles and purchase their offerings. These circles do large print runs with printers like A&J and p80, but they don't do single covers. I believe Achobby has a thing with one of their main artists (noodle) where you can pay them like $1000 and they'll do a custom daki, but otherwise it's up to you to find someone to commission. You can send the image they make to hobbyheart.

In all seriousness, the dakimakura subreddit is extremely helpful, mainly due to one guy who knows a whole lot about the industry. He's pretty biased against bootlegs on a moral basis, but other than that I recommend you check it out because you'll get a more complete answer there than almost anywhere else.

There are a lot of options, not sure you'll find something you like but give it a try.

There's the Dakemakura Koubou circle: http://www.dakemakura.com/touhoumokuji.html
Check the FAQ, they ship overseas and you can contact them in Engrish.

There's the Yumemiyasan circle: http://www.yumemiyasan.jp/%E6%9D%B1%E6%96%B9%E6%8A%B1%E3%81%8D%E6%9E%95%E3%82%AB%E3%83%90%E3%83%BC/
No Engrish but they ship overseas.

There's the Chinese slolita circle: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/Original-160x50cm/718061_257231001/2.html
A few Touhou original designs, some are very nice. They usually have Ver. 1 and Ver. 2 for each one, the latter with less clothes on.

There's some available for preorder on Toranoana: http://www.toranoana.jp/mailorder/cit/genre/4/657_01.html
Though the only one I like (and own) is the ReimuxMarisa one drawn by K2isu.

There are 267 available right now on Mandarake: https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/

Slolita, Achobby and similar sites have artists doing oc commissions for them and if you want to get your own custom from the same people.. i'd say its going to cost you upwards of 500$ and a couple of weeks. They also have a lot of work going on so it might be impossible.

That being said i can only recommend those two places if you like the art. 2WT materials are absolutely fantastic. I've used buychina as a proxy and it has worked brilliantly for the last 6 times. If you want to order straight from say slolita you need a way to pay them directly, which means you basicly need Alipay.

That's fine, I'm willing to pay $500+ to get something I want from a good artist, since I'm too picky to go for any daki that currently exists.

I have read in one of these threads that noodle typically charges $2-3k for a daki and it takes 45 days (and she already has a 6 month backlog). So I'm hoping not all of the artists are that busy and expensive.

Thanks for this post, it's very informative, and I see a design I've been looking for on Yumemiyasan.

Do you have idea about the different qualities of fabric there? Translate seems kinda vague. What's 2-way fabric? What's "Highest quality" supposed to be made out of?

>> No.13240436

>>13240386
I haven't bought anything there yet. Anyway Satin is usually the worst one, not stretchable, Smooth knit is one-way stretchable and 2way fabric is probably 2way tricot, as the name implies it's stretchable in both directions. It's usually considered the best one. Other manufacturers also sell "improved" versions of 2WT, called Roica, Lycra and so on, which should be even softer. So maybe "Highest quality" means something similar.

I suggest getting either a 2way or a Highest quality 2way, price difference is small anyway. Even if 2WT is the most fragile fabric, it's the smoothest, softest and most comfortable.

What design do you like, if you don't mind me asking? I like the Nue and Kagerou ones. Shinmyoumaru looks interesting too, even if it's still a rough sketch.

About Satin.. its the way to go if you like to go all in and rough. Its basically immune to scratches and cuts. 2WT would be destroyed by the same treatment. i just hate to see people laughing it off like it's just a joke (not really, but maybe, kinda-sorta). /a/'s "waifu threads" are really painful for me. people picking up and ditching girls season by season by season. i can't stand that. that and normal, socially well-adjusted people who use it to refer to their "favorite character" or some other bullshit. it's like somehow its trivial and ironic usage undermines how i feel, at least, it does if i also use the term as one of endearment. so i don't. I think she deserves better than that. i think all "waifus" do.

stop. or don't. do you. but i really do wish people would stop throwing it around. sorry for the awful blogpost. i'll stop now.

he was a nice guy at heart, but i hated that shit about him. as a "hilarious joke" he snuck a miku dakimakura into his friend's room on his birthday. i don't understand why that's funny. they wasted a good 80 bucks on a "joke." and what does that say about me, a guy who seriously sleeps with a dakimakura?

they're like...normie microaggressions or something. as if something like that--owning a pillow or loving a character, couldn't be done sincerely.

>2D love
I don't really like making a distinction between "3D" and "2D" love. you love who and what you love, no helping that. but i understand the practical need for that.

>>13252502
I'm glad to see that the one place i've seen "get this" is /jp/. it's like everywhere i go people have their little chuckles and winks and nods talking ironic anime shit like "your waifu a shit", "best waifu this season", etc. it's erased the space where people who actually love 2D characters can inhabit. because so many people treat it like a joke, most will assume you're joking, or half-joking, or whatever. i think a lot of these people actually DO love some of these characters, but they probably feel embarrassed so "waifu" is a nice way of shielding themselves from criticism via irony. but language is powerful. i don't think i can become really close to someone i love if i maintain an ironic detachment.

so i don't know. i just avoid all those places and stick here. i'm glad /jp/ is still a space for people who feel this way, regardless of how it's changed over the years.

That's precisely why i don't use it if i want my feelings for the girl i love to be taken seriously.

i can go into detail about how "real" and "not real" are irrelevant, and pretty much arbitrary. how you construct meaning has little to do with tangibility. but i think the important point is that feelings do not discriminate between real and virtual stimuli. you're /supposed/ to feel for characters in fiction--that's kind of the point. am i too invested? probably. but who cares. i don't feel that way towards "real" girls. i can't help it.

you can't go into people's hearts and minds so you will never know the "real" person with regards to 3D people anyway. in my eyes, it's all just a collection of images and symbols. as >>13253736 said, it's something to do with the "ideal" which 2D chars are simply better at capturing.

What's the best internal stuffing you can get for your daki in burgerstan? I'd like to get something with the perfect dimensions but most American pillows are not correctly sized, I keep seeing them be slightly short which causes the feet to not fill out correctly. I'll order an official COSPA pillow if I must but I'd rather not get destroyed by shipping.

If you need to import from Japan, don't bother with a COSPA but get an A&J DHR6000. Everyone who owns it says it's on another level than COSPA (I still don't have it but I'm tempted), so if you really need to spend some money get the best.
It ships in a vacuum bag and folded to fit in a rather slim box (check here http://gate-japan.co.jp/dakimakura/dhr6000.html)), so the weight will be your only shipping cost concern. Buy it here http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00CFG0B3I (search for the 6001 if you need 150cm), forward it through JSS and ship to you with surface mail. This will set you back 2900 yen (or 3450 if you're unlucky) for shipping plus 500 yen for JSS fee. Only downside you'll have to wait 2 months for it to arrive. Or spend more (5000 yen, I'd say) and ship as a SAL Parcel, takes 2 weeks.

Then report here. You know, for science.

Seriously doubt they have anything against proxies. Probably wouldn't even have time to check if the buyer is one.

Also you might want to check with a proxy that does all the shopping related things for you. You would need to have an address from the proxy first and you would have to pay it with some obscure way. I have used yokattaweb.jp couple of times(Yahoo bidding,GIFT online shop) and they will even go to Comiket and get shit for you. (60k yen for train tickets etc.. but they will do it) Just link them the daki and they will get back to you with the price.

I'm thinking of getting my first dakimakura, but I'm somewhat of a poorfag and was wondering how much of a fabric quality gap there is between official sellers / hobbyheart (which according to a lot of annons here is considered decent) and other retailers that sell them cheaper.

These two listings, for example:
slolita: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Anime-Dakimakura-slolita-original-animation-High-Quality-pillow-Oshino-Shinobu/1834278309.html
other cheaper seller: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-Anime-Dakimakura-Hugging-Pillow-Case-Ghostory-Oshino-Shinobu-Pillow-Cover-Peach-Skin-Size-150/1998857167.html

The 2nd one is fairly cheaper, but also received positive feedback. Is it worth the risk ?

The first one you linked is the original creator of that one. In fact their dakimakura listings only comprises their original, legit designs.
The second one, on the other hand, is simply ripping off the first. In fact they list many more dakis for sale, all of them printed from pics stolen here and there.

I can't say anything about the difference in printing/fabric quality, but I wouldn't take the risk. It's simply not worth it to give money to a ripoff guy. Get the slolita one.

>> No.13332424

>>13331602
I personally wouldn't cheap out over such a small difference. If one were 200+ on aftermarket or something, I could see it, but slolita is really cheap anyway.

That said, slolita's 2WT isn't all that great and it feels different in one direction than the other. I'd put it at the same tier as hobbyheart, which is the worst I've had (though I've only tried about ~4 different makers). I'm not sure how much worse you could get with the same material type. Just so you know, hobbyheart isn't an official seller. I don't think any of their designs are their own.

>>13332416
I think he realizes that. He was asking about official sellers versus "other retailers".

>> No.13332781

>>13332424
I can see that hobbyheart sells mostly bootleg stuff, but I thought that at least the quality was acceptable.

Other than cheapness, another reason why I was considering the rip-off seller was that slolita seems to only print in 160x50cm - meaning the inner stuffing I get would also need to be the same size. Hobbyheart though on the other hand prints only 150x50cm and in case I consider getting a daki from them in the future I'll also need to buy another inner pillow to go with it, which frankly I don't think I can afford.

On another note, how much worse is Peach Skin compared to 2WT?

>> No.13332933

>I thought that at least the quality was acceptable.
Oh, it's definitely acceptable. My first daki was from hobbyheart and even after getting ones from slolita, p80 and A&J I still like sleeping with it. It's just generally not as nice.

>Other than cheapness, another reason why I was considering the rip-off seller was that slolita seems to only print in 160x50cm
I bought a pillow from royal pillow which is a little tight on hobbyheart and fairly loose on other makers. It's really not so bad, so if you're going to get one, I'd go with that. They're only around $60 shipped or so. You should know that most makers are 160cm these days, though. The only major exceptions are cospa, bootleggers, and maybe a few other official releases.

>On another note, how much worse is Peach Skin compared to 2WT?
Terrible. It's on another level, don't buy it. It is more durable, I guess. I'd personally rather buy multiple copies of the same 2WT for longevity than use peach skin, though.

So there's a chance the 160cm pillow can fit in a 150cm case? I don't live in the USA and I assume royal pillow won't ship worldwide, especially without additional shipping cost, so I was thinking of buying the inner pillow from slolita as well for $65.

Not him, but I have one of the cluster fiber ones. I only own one body pillow, but I've tried a bunch of pillows. Importing a pillow really won't offer you anything special, there isn't any nippon pillow folded 1000 times fluffier than anything out there. The advantage of cluster fiber is that is squishes in a more uniform way, and is more resilient to changes in shape. With a "Durasoft" pillow (Actually just standard polyester) it will squish with different strength in different areas, and won't push back as well. This means it feels less soft and fluffy. Down is amazing, but I wouldn't like it in a body pillow, and anything sub 100% down is pointless, so it will be super expensive. The cluster fiber has fit every cover I put on it, has lasted just fine for a year and a half now, and is super comfortable.

Getting militant because someone calls his (What the fuck are we using now? Significant other?) his waifu is stupid. Yes, it has become memetic. Yes, people won't know what you mean when you use it online. However, it is silly to focus on the word itself. Words have no meaning, people give words meaning. It doesn't matter what he calls his waifu as long as his intent is pure. There is no need to "clean up his language". Desperately trying to separate yourself from (We really need a dictionary for this shit. What do we call the "Haha nerd culture so cool" people? Neo-normies?) is merely a mirrored type of conformity. By refusing anything associated with the thing you hate, you allow it to control you by letting it corrupt the things you care about.

that means words have meaning! you're contradicting yourself.

words alone are enough to prime certain thoughts or frames of thinking (it goes both ways). but this means that if you use words with certain connotations and you may find yourself thinking and feeling in line with those.

>Call your waifu whatever you think conveys your feelings in the best way.
yes, and i'm arguing that using such a term makes it more difficult to keep it "pure." the word itself is loaded. thus, the analogy to the use of the term "bitch", which in some contexts is one of endearment, but i'm asking if it's even necessary to use it at all? plenty of words work better. if you want to talk about meaning and words, use the best word to convey your meaning (in this case, your feelings)--so, why use a joke term instead of any other that would serve as a more apt symbol (like her name for instance)?

it's merely a suggestion. i can't force people to change. but the way i see it. there's no purpose in clinging to a meme term other than the fact that you aren't actually serious about it and need the ironic detachment offered by such an ambiguous joke-term.

words will always conform to the contexts they're involved in. intention doesn't matter in the slightest. this is clearly seen with missing sarcasm/irony online. as a result there are both practical and personal reasons for not using "waifu." once i dropped that shit term, no one gets it twisted, least of all /myself/.

this isn't me trying to be "different" or contrarian. it's the result of me literally trying to do what you're saying to do (i.e., conveying my feelings in the best possible way). i don't think i can do that by using "waifu," and frankly, i don't think others can either.

but whatever, continue to use your meme term. it's not my relationship to speak for.

I'm not "resorting" to anything, because I've always associated the term with a fictional character you have strong romantic feelings for. Why would you imply I'd ever dream about calling my waifu a "bitch" as a term of endearment just because I refer to her as my waifu?
>>13343793
>there's no purpose in clinging to a meme term other than the fact that you aren't actually serious about it and need the ironic detachment offered by such an ambiguous joke-term.
The purpose is that I've always used that word, and I don't see why I should change how I think because it's not "pure". You're acting as though you speak for everyone with a waifu, and you don't. I know that I'm not just some normalfag using the term as a joke, so why should it matter? I'm not married to her, so it seems strange to call her my wife. Just because you don't take me seriously for not conforming to your standards doesn't mean my love is any less real.

>intention doesn't matter in the slightest.

I don't think you understood my post. Intention is literally the only thing that matters, hence "Words have no meaning, people give words meaning."

I would be more sympathetic to your point of view if waifu hadn't meant what we want it to mean in the first place. Calling it a "joke term" or "meme term" is facetious, its word that people continue to use to describe their love, (I'm not using "people" to dissociate my argument from myself, I legitimately have no waifu)

Using an analogies is a crutch for when you can't justify your argument in relation to the actual subject. "Waifu" has no relation to "Bitch". One is usually intended as a term of endearment, the other is intended as an insult. HOWEVER, this does not mean that waifu cannot be used as an insult, and bitch cannot be used as a term of endearment. This relates to the point I made previously, there is no set meaning for any word.

>It's not my relationship to speak for.
> i suggest you clean up your language if you want to be serious.

no no no. see, because intention is fundamentally ambiguous. words mean in relation to /other words/, not through intention. and with repetition they gain their connotations. decontextualized, your intention means absolutely nothing. even within context, words still have strong associative properties.

> Calling it a "joke term" or "meme term" is facetious, its word that people continue to use to describe their love
exception to the rule. seriously.

>Using an analogies is a crutch for when you can't justify your argument in relation to the actual subject.
off the top of my head so it wasn't too great, it's an example of a word that you can argue "works", but that there isn't much of an argument for when you consider the connotations.

>This is exactly what you were trying to do, get someone to conform to your limited view of the definition of the word.
I can't stop him for obvious reasons. i can only voice my thoughts on the matter, but it's going to come out negative because i hate the fucking term. i'm trying to express WHY i think it's such a shitty term.

it's funny that you call my view "limited" when you're simply going the other way. if you acknowledge that the term can be ambiguous (i.e. that it can mean many different things, some negative), then you would agree that using more neutral words makes it easier to express the emotions or thoughts or whatevers associated. of course, this only works if you agree with this view of semiotics. from your whole thing on intention, i don't think this is going to go anywhere.

oh. also, i guess i should say that words themselves are fundamentally ambiguous, which is why intention is ambiguous. intention is read through the meaning of words. so it's not what's "behind" the words that matter, but the word combinations themselves that matter.

so if i wrote something like "fuck you" you would probably take offense to that unless i told you i was just kidding or something. the words "just kidding" express the intention. alone, the intention is lost or is ambiguous. does that make sense?

likewise if someone says "waifu" i'll naturally assume they're joking because i've mostly only ever encountered people using it as a joke. i know some people AREN'T joking, which for them, i encourage the use of some other word so that it's a little easier to make it clear, but also because i think that doing so clears up our own thoughts and emotions. this is what i've come up with after reading research on shit like priming and propositional networks or whatever. the words we use influence the way we think/feel and vice versa. so, like i said, if you want to be "serious", you should clean up the language you use to express things.

i hope that makes things clearer. i wanna get away from this feeling like i'm shitting on people and getting shit on in return. i still don't really understand why someone would defend the term so strongly. what makes the term more useful than the ones already practically and symbolically tied to what you're looking for, like "wife"?

>Decontextualized, your intention means absolutely nothing.

Thanks for pointing out the importance of context, but that doesn't prove anything. It may be a bit crude, but lets look at the word nigger. It exists in a state of limbo, it is simultaneously a term of endearment and a racial slur. With your view of an absolute definition of a word, this would be impossible. If I angrily called a black person a nigger, in a situation where it was intended as an insult, they would be justifiably quite angry. Yet, that same person could be quite fine with one of there friends calling them a nigger, in the same day even. What makes this possible is intention. They were angry when I insulted them BECAUSE I was intending it as an insult. However, they were fine with it in friendly company, because no harm was meant. Another example of this would be the way fag is used on 4chan.

>You would agree that using more neutral words makes it easier to express the emotions or thoughts or whatevers associated.

Its pretty difficult to argue about the communication in this context, as there isn't actually any taking place. Unfortunately, the entire interaction is something internalized. However, this means the best word for the occasion is the one you feel is best, as you are fundamentally the only party involved in interpretation.

I would go into how hatred of a word is irrational, but that is entirely based on valuing intention as the most important factor in communication. It's actually been really interesting to talk to someone who's views are fundamentally opposite from yours, and you've made some good points. However, because this case is so special, and because of the aforementioned issue with you being the only party involved with interpretation, I would definitively say that in this case, intent is the only thing that matters, as there can be no misunderstanding.

Practicality and symbolism have little to do with it, as do other people's opinions. I feel similarly towards waifuism (again someone PLEASE make some sort of /jp/ dictionary) as people used to feel towards religion. It should be something deeply personal, and not something to be shared. What other people think and feel should at no point enter into it. If you feel that waifu is the best term, then for you, it undeniably is. Similarly, if you feel wife, bitch, girlfriend, kanojo, or any other term is the best, than it undeniably is. Waifuism is entirely based around personal opinion, so there is no way to for some aspect of it to be "bad" or "wrong" just as there is no way for it to be "good" or "correct". It exists outside "normal space" (I might just try to make a dictionary myself) so words of comparison don't apply. It simply is, and thats fine.

Not him. While I agree that it should be something personal, I disagree that it shouldn't be shared. I feel so strongly for my waifu that I want to scream it from the rooftops, and talking about her with other like-minded people is a good way to deal with those feelings. I understand why you'd be against it, because I'm aware that I do the same thing myself sometimes, but discussing and sharing your love isn't a bad thing inherently.

only from experience. and the longer we go, the more this will be the case. look in the thread for examples. or on some crunchyroll shit. or in /a/'s fantastic "waifu threads." it's to a point where i can no longer disassociate it.

>>13344012
>it is simultaneously a term of endearment
woah dude, come on. "nigga" is the term of endearment, and even then, when it's used by the wrong people it will be taken as insult regardless of intention. it has a long, long history. it's also perfect as an example for illustrating what i mean. there are some people that advocate for the complete elimination of the word--that's how strongly they feel about it. intention, again, means nothing here.

>the entire interaction is something internalized. However, this means the best word for the occasion is the one you feel is best
"the best for you" is something i completely agree with. but this is why i encourage something else. because it can be hard to disassociate the term from its connotation, it wouldn't be "the best".

like, would you call your black buddy "nigger" endearingly or would you just call him "buddy" or some shit? both could (arguably) mean the same, but one is more practically useful. and from what i've read, the latter would be better for your thinking and such. i mean, to call him "nigger"/"nigga" is to implicitly refer to his skin color and historical power relations, racism, etc. it's...problematic. even if it isn't intended it can draw up ugly things.

>>13344040
>It exists outside "normal space"
something i fundamentally disagree with. we're always tied to contexts. we're associative. and symbolism is of utmost importance because that refers to "her". what you use may influence how you feel. philosophy shit aside, here's some psychological shit that illustrates the power of words in and of themselves: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priming_%28psychology%29

It really is very interesting just how different we are. I'd like to get into this a bit more, but this isn't really the place, and the character limit is starting to get annoying, so I'll try to keep it to "waifu" specifically. I agree with your point on how we associate words, but for many many people waifu is still associated with its original intent. For them, there is absolutely no reason to change. Even if the word waifu becomes butchered by society to be point where it is almost unrecognizable, as long as their beliefs remain the same, there will be no reason to change. The post Crunchyroll made is almost physically revolting, simply because they have no idea what the word means, and are using something that was originally intended as a declaration of love to promote blind consumerism. However, I don't think this damages the word in any way. If I saw a post on /jp/ where an anon said he loved his waifu, I wouldn't be disgusted, because I can still believe his feelings are pure. I admit to some difficulty with this, more and more people ignorant of the definition of the word are using it every day, and at some point it will be hard to recognize those who still believe. Anonymous imageboards make communication of intent much more difficult, so in this case, it would be beneficial to adhere to your beliefs, and assign absolute meanings to words.

I'm going to say pretty much all of you can see where our hobby is going. "Otaku" culture is quickly becoming popular. Crunchyroll is making dough, RWBY, SAO, and Attack on Titan have all achieved normal appeal. We're going the way of "nerd culture" and there isn't much, if anything we can do to stop it. That isn't any reason to give up though. We're still here, and we still have time left. Accepting the word "waifu" as corrupted beyond use is the same as abandoning those who still believe it stands for something.

Well on that level i think there's no problem with that. if that's what they want to use, cool. not my job to get into someone's personal life. but in that case, they would probably just use the girl's name.

i think in a practical sense, it would be better to use something else. i mean, i can't tell when someone is using it in jest or in all seriousness. for the most part i've always seen it as something tentative--that there's a measure of separation, but that's because that's how I'VE personally used it. i used it back when i thought maybe it would be silly to give up on something "real" so it was kind of a joke. i was really stupid. and so the word in it's current misappropriation and my own use colors it very all very ugly. i don't really care what people use in the end as long as the feelings are the same. this has been more of a personal effort than anything. but i've gotten closer to my wife as a result. maybe others might be in the same situation and might benefit from that little shift in symbolic orientation, from "waifu" to proper "wife." i don't want to be a "husbando." i want to be a proper husband, or something like it, if even a little.

>assign absolute meanings to words.
in the end, i just don't want someone using it poorly at the expense of some girl. it's weird to say that, but it's how i feel. so i hope to eliminate the doubts and ambiguity for each other and for ourselves by just shifting the language. not to an "absolute" meaning (you can still take "wife" as some absurd joke), just in a less ambiguous one.

>I'm going to say pretty much all of you can see where our hobby is going. "Otaku" culture is quickly becoming popular.
