Is it really that late? I assumed unless you get lucky with Plat Armor drops it's not that uncommon to be really high level with relatively low # of CCs.

I'm at lvl 81 and only have 6 CC units (Soma, Katie, Bellinda, Bernice, Alissa, & Valerie in that order). I've only received 1 plat in the 3 Mondays I've grinded Golden Armor N, and manually leveled and CCed the others.

Hell I only finally 1* Castle Retake today which will hopefully make future grinding way easier using Dragon Hunting.

At the start I already let one red goblin slip through and later on I am able to make it to the Lich, but he just one-shots or two-shots my entire party. And I have no choice but to let him through. That leaves me with nothing to attack the last dragon as well and I lose

I had 2 mincosted iron soldiers just for that mission, used them to stop the initial wave of goblins. As for Lich and dragon, you need a witch strong enough to kill the dragon fast, before Lich kills her. Best if you got a decent healer to help her last too. I think I had a lvl40 Cloris and lvl33 Alissa when I cleared it.
In general, I was using strategy similar to Eth Eternal's, except I used iron soldiers instead of assassins at start, and I put a princess as dueler instead of the valk

For me, Lich was tanked by putting down 50CC25 Eunice in its face while 2 healers were still up.

The lich will attack the unit that you put down last in his range. Just vomit out everything right up there while your witches and mages deal with the dragon.

The easiest 1h grinds are Earth/Wind friendly. Water is also easy to grind if you can meet 50k power cost-effectively.

This further puts fire in the "hardest to cheap-grind" spot (which still isn't very hard).

Hmm, time for some math. Expedition combat power = Att + Skill (init completely irrelevant!)

Let's suppose a team of 8 4M Deltas (NB: this is impossible) since she's one of the best UCs.

4M Delta's power level = 5956 + 13304 = 19260
8 Delta team's power level = 19260 x 8 = 154080

You could get to around continent 4 before you were stopped. Continent 7 will demand 3 times as much power level to clear. In short: you're gonna need SRs eventually.

I've only used Platinum Armor to get one of my units to 50. I've already CCed 7 units, 6 of which were grinded manually. If you need to CC a unit to proceed forward or get ready for the event and you have the gold for it, just do the grind manually. Expect to use a lot of gold to do so.

Regarding armours, another option is bandits. Again, only if you have really good healers. If all else fails, shove expendable bronze soldiers in their way and cycle them out as they get low in HP.

In reserves I also have a 29 Gold Archer (Stray), 41 Gold Valky (Kerry) and 40 Gold Witch (Cloris).

If I only have 1 spare Leanne, should I just use her in evolving my plat valky and forgo the ability to have two CCed HA until RNG smiles upon me?

I know I should level up my CCed units prior to the event, I was just grinding my units to 50 and CCing, figured the grind from 1 to 30 after CC would be far easier.

Event Post - Part 1

This is a "Trial"-type Event unlike the previous Bellinda Event. Your rewards are based on your total number of Stars on Event Missions. There are 8 Event Maps, so a possibility of up to 24 Stars. The rewards are;

4 maps cleared (you don't need to 3* them) = Gold Lieutenant Aria joins.
10* = Aria Initial Level of 10.
7 maps cleared = -1 Cost on Aria.
19* = -1 Cost on Aria (cost reduction is cumulative).
21* = -1 Cost on Aria.
All maps cleared = 3 Sacred Crystals.
24* = Black Dragon Warrior Sealed Drania joins.

Aria is a Gold Soldier like Katie, they also have the same skills "Reinforcement II" which upgrades to "Reinforcement III" after Class Changing. However, their stat allocations and Awakening Passives are different. Aria's Affection Bonuses and Awakening Passive are the exact opposite of Katie's. +Attack from Affection, and +2% Attack of All Units for Awakening.

Overall, I'd say Katie is the stronger unit, but Aria's Awakening Passive is better.

I couldn't find her H-Scenes on Sadpanda when I skimmed the gallery just now; but the Japanese Wikis list both of her scenes as "Cowgirl".

For comparison, here are max Katie's stats vs max Aria's stats.

1888 HP, 503 Attack (+2% Self-Buff), 260 Defense.

Katie
1939 HP, 359 Attack, 331 Defense (+2% Self Buff)

As for Black Dragon Warrior Sealed Drania, she is an extremely cost-heavy (yet surprisingly strong) unit who after Class Change transforms into a Black Dragon Princess Anya.

Sealed Drania caps out at level 30 (this is the only case in the entire game where it is okay to 30CC a high-rarity unit).

At level 30 Drania has the following stats:
1820 HP, 325 Attack, 390 Defense with the "Recovery IV" Skill. If you look at the stats above, you'll see that Drania at a mere level 30 has stats comparable to Katie when she's 50CC60AW80. However, Drania costs 30 Unit Points to deploy, so you won't be able to cheese maps with her unfortunately.

Part 2

Black Dragon Princess Anya has the following stats maxed out in JP currently (her Awakening will arrive soon, so these stats will shoot out higher).

2184 HP, 446 Damage (magic), 497 Defense with the Unique Skill [Seiken Ascalon] which reduces all incoming physical damage by 50% for up to 40 seconds.

After Awakening I would estimate her stats at around the following based on stat growths on other Black Princesses:
~2700 HP, ~550 Attack, ~600 Defense.

However, she is also the highest costing Princess at 35 Points (she comes min-cost already).

Listen closely, young grasshopper. Unlike in the flashier games, the value of the crystals does not hide behind mathematical obfuscation, but it is sometimes a sneaky critter nonetheless. Sometimes, the value you see is in reality a sum of two and attacking it will only cause them to split and your changes to vanish.
It is unknown where exactly the second comes from, sometimes it is from the login bonuses but other times the bonus merges with the first.
The only true source of the crystals are the map completions (the gift from Aigis after your training counts as well). If you have done them all, only the events remain. Thus was I tempted by the witch's charms.
To prevent the crystals from growing a tail, you may reduce them to zero and only then start your search. Or you may use incrementals, if you have enough steps laid out before you. Beware from spending them in this state, you may not know whether you spend the meaty ones or the useless tail. If it did not have a tail, you will end up with two values, the one you want is the one with the higher address. In case of a tail, you will find a number a little lower than what you see, this is normal.

Now, applying your change requires another trick. You should enter a combat, any map will do. Only in this state does the game expose it's belly for the injection.
But, careful you must be. Once at a time, you may only add up a hundred and ten. If you add even one more, even a 'real' one from completing a new map, it will spoil the broth and turn it to deadly poison.
Furthermore, you may never have more than two hundred, ninety and nine. Attempting to drink more than this, will too kill you.
But finally, with merely three steps, you will have the power to overcome the demoness of RNG, even if you will, in the end, burn with it.
