Hey I was wondering what the valentine's day chocolate gives. Or if there is any reason to not consume it.

Had a pretty good haul today. Found 4 mochis using only around 3000 fuel while farming 3-3. Had to stop because I ran out of bauxite. (Shouldn't have tried making 4 carriers today). I found 2 mochi yesterday so at this rate I think I can safely get my 10 before this mini event ends.

Is it just me or on maps with purely random compass, the RNG for routes are determined every 30 minutes to an hour? Meaning if you repeatedly get sent down the route within that window, try another time window?

I'm experiencing this while mochi farming and I've mostly experienced this phenomenon with 2-4, but not so much for 4-1 or 4-3.

There isn't really much advice to offer at early levels other than 'craft better ships'. At this point having a BB is pretty much mandatory, get one and use her firepower to push through to 2-4 which is the first good exp grinding spot.

You'll get plenty of free dev mats by doing the crafting dailies.

400/100/600/30 is ~1/3 chance to get BB, if you do the available quests you should get enough materials to keep you going for a long while. I've never actually run out of dev mats, it was always no fuel or no steel.

If you want a CV don't craft for it, completing the quest to sink an enemy aircraft carrier gives you Akagi for free. Check the wiki page for the quest name and match the kanji.

Quests are not worth doing it if they only give you things you could get easily otherwise. Especially true for resources, since doing the quests costs more than the reward usually.
The Quest page on the wiki is your best friend since it lists all the rewards, unlike the in-game page.

You also have the option of keeping some ships temporary for doing some quests and get the ships for other quests later.

It was interesting to observe trends after I was done with it. Things like how in terms of opener reliability 3CV + 1CLT was the way to go, which ensures at least 2 targets taken out by airstrike and 1 by CLT.

Multiple CLTs would sometimes target the same unit and provides too little upfront strength during the day. 2CV comp provides too little leeway in AS requirement to have a strong opener. Single CLT would also mean less taiha rate as you could field sturdier CA/CAVs that would be more useful in day battle and equally competent during torp phase and night battle.

Having Air Supremacy also prevents enemy contact which boosts their carrier bombing damage by quite a bit.

Might not mean much in a map like 3-3, but it can be the difference between going home or reaching the boss in event maps with Wo kai or CV hime preboss.

I just did a quick estimate from my drop log and I've gotten 8 mochi in 145+ drop nodes (spread across 1-4, 1-5, 2-5, 3-3, 3-5).

Mochi isn't in the drops list, but I added 8 to the count for the 8 I've gotten. I also am unable to count all the zero drop nodes of 3-3 and 3-5, which is why I put a + sign.

A pack is indeed 1000 yen, but you get FIVE irako. Mamiya are in fact more expensive than irako.

It provides random boost to random number of ships in selected fleet (the one you're viewing when you click food button). It tends to provide bigger boost to smaller ships but some of bigger ships also tend to get higher boosts. Apparently it can boost morale to 80 but it rarely happens. That's all I know.
