Well there is a Anon who has researched doing it. All you can do is keep asking. He posted links on how to do it. The mask can be made here in the USA but you have to find some one who has had one made to get the connections to purchase on. They are expensive as they are custom made. The costumes are all off the rack womens wear or personally hand made by the Kigurumi practitioners themselves as are the bodysuits.

but to answer your questions, these things are REALLY hard to get outside of japan. theres really almost no people who will make them for you, Iruka/dolphin studio maybe if you can formulate an understandable japanese email.

i'm making my own actually. just got back from washing my hands of the clay actually. if you have any bit the artistic ability (or ability to copy one of your figurines faces) it's just about doing the work.

Thanks for the info anons. And you're right, I should've checked wikipedia. I should've expected it to be there. Well, I'm pretty excited about getting into this, and I'm willing to set aside the money to do it, so the price isn't going to be a real problem.

And you're making your own mask? That's awesome. I don't have the resources to make my own, and I'm a violinist, not an artist, or a dollmaker, so I'll have to get my masks from one of the places that makes them.
