The Myourenji isn't the one and only place a person can practice Buddhism in Gensokyo. I'd say her not living there isn't a big deal in that regard. I'd be more concerned about her eating meat and inducing lustful thoughts in humans.

Well, I got my info from the wiki's UFO script, but I'm pretty sure that's how it went.

UFO wasn't too bad in and of itself (it certainly brought about some great characters to the canon) but chasing UFOs around was too much of a distraction. Nothing like running face-first into a spray of bullets only to realize the UFO you managed to grab had just changed colors and screwed up your sequence.

Anyway. I call rule 34 on those UFO UFOs.

Of course you'll hate the system if you're bad at it, since everyone's complaints about the game being the hardest (it's not) means you need to use them to get the extra resources. Just play on a lower difficulty if you really can't stand it.

UFO's system makes it difficult for beginner players to get resources but you should learn to look ahead and to move your eyes around. Easy is to get the hang of things and learn new tactics, not to avoid having to put effort into playing the games. Planning a route when a UFO appears makes it infinitely easier to grab them, which means leaving your comfort zone. It's a risk -> reward thing.

That doesn't change the fact some segments are a real pain to move freely through. Because it's tempting as fuck to go for every potential resource the game throws your way, it's easy to make stupid mistakes.

Staying at the bottom of the screen is boring and shitty, and until they start linking lives with score, you have to use the scoring system to make the game interesting. And look at that, gathering red ufos gives you lives! One live has three bombs! No one should lose to UFO on easy.

It's not exactly hard, it's just distracting. SA and IN encourages you to graze, MoF rewards beating the bosses, and then UFO arrives and expect you to survive all the bullets on screen, while capturing small items that are literally buried under hundreds of shiny bullets.

Destroying ufos acts like a bomb so it's still worth letting them touch you at least if you don't want to move around. Just ignore the colors. It even puts a border around the one that will complete the set.

Just tried stage one now with Reimu B on easy, doing nothing but moving left and right without trying to set up ufos or using the point of collection. I got four at the end of the stage. Sanae B is probably easier since she hits both sides of the screen at the same time.
