Is getting Isokaze even worth it? The only reason I'm even doing this on medium is because of her and I feel like I'm losing it since I can't even reach the boss node. If I do, they fail to even damage the boss. And yes, this is all with both support types. They either don't fire or they do a total of 9 damage.

You could always try to do it on easy modo if you cant do it on medium.

Apparently Unryuu drops on E4 easy so you might be blessed by the RNG.

Isokaze is just a + on your collection, she has nothing more than a standard DD besides her look. She adds nothing like most of the ships.

Go easy, get amagi and get over with it.
I'm suffering too much in E5 myself, to advise trying RNG there.

I would assume you mean chipping, if that's the case, 2CVL in the main fleet and goya in escort. Get a command facility and choose surface fleet. Don't make the same mistake as me and go for the carrier task force.

Have night battle monsters in your escort and field as much BBs on your first fleet. Depend on whether you believe on placebo, you may want not want to overload your BBs, AP shells are a must.

If that's the case, 1 CV with Reppus should be fine. 2 wos elite should be easy to get AS. As long as there is sub, it should be fine. I'm not sure if putting sub in the main fleet would work. If you have Akashi or Katori, they can be used as well for branching rules.
