The canal does not have much texture, but since it is dual layer the firmness combined with the simple texture actually just makes it a smooth ride. I'd say it's pretty damn durable. Mine came with a factory defect that I detailed in a review a few weeks ago. There's basically a pin sized hole where there's almost no rubber, meaning when I bottom out (which is probably 85% of the time I use it) there's only a VERY thin layer stopping me from breaking through, and it hasn't broken yet after probably 10 uses. Also I, flip it every time i wash it. Though once again, it's not my absolute favorite hole so it's not like I've been going through this process every day. ZXY had the most difference in any hole I've used when rotated. Medium hardness with great textures but the durability is a problem. It pretty much fell apart after each use until it felt like nothing. Also annoying to clean and dry.
