Actually in MGE if I recall correctly the only slime subspecies actually with a core are the Dark Slimes. I prefer the core as it adds an element that they aren't just sapient puddles of goo. Plus slimes erogenous zones are neat. I prefer to think of wurms as a dangerous pet if not handled appropriately. Like having a porcupine as a pet.

With the spoken word it's all the homophones that are all the different words that could be true depending on the context. Actually the kanji makes things simpler because you can just identify the character and that's what they mean. Still a bitch to memorize 3000 kanji to be able to read like a native.
