First off, if this isn't the place to ask about this, then tell me to GTFO and I will.

Anyway, since NISA seems to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Ichi Japan and it's literally an exercise in futility to complain about anything to NISA, I'd like to take my issues to the next level by writing NIS Japan a letter.

Not knowing a ton about writing formal letters in Japanese, or Japanese much at all. I'd like some advice.

My issues are

1) They are alienating their core audience and fans by needlessly cutting content in games like Criminal Girls: Invite Only for all regions, when it is only necessary at most for one or two.

2) They have shut down any debate on their forums regarding this issue, thus leaving almost exclusively only half a dozen cheerleaders to dog on anyone who dares to criticize NISA. Making it look like people still support them, when it actuality if you ask anywhere else everyone is pissed when they find out about it.

It's not like the game has much else going for it besides the ecchi content anyway.

(continued in next post)

>> No.12975122

I have even offered to cover with my own money the costs for submitting the cut content to the ESRB with the intent of having it made into a DLC for the North American market. Even going so far as to sign any waivers they deem necessary to protect themselves if I were to decide to sue, which I wouldn't.

If the ESRB rates the content "AO", I will eat the loss. (It's already rated "M"). Otherwise I would ask they help me recoup my costs, but only after they have been compensated for their development costs for creating the DLC. A DLC which should take any competent developer about an hour to do considering they have all of the original game assets.

It should be as simple as:

1) Reverting the code back to it's original state
2) Adding back in the cut audio and image files, assuming they weren't just unlinked and and still in the game.

The only real cost should be the fee the ESRB charges for evaluating the content, which was $2,000 in 2009 and has not increased as far as I can tell. But I am willing to fork over as much as $4,000 if it has increased.

I have submitted this offer to their customer support, but they refuse to reply. Not that they ever reply anyway, which is another thing I'd like to complain about. Their terrible, pretty much non-existent customer support.

Mentions of it on their forums only results in their cheerleaders mocking me and their one employee mod just completely ignoring it.

Also, they are completely incompetent in other regards. (See attached image).

They made this huge of a fuckup and can't even be arsed to send the people affected a bill or a paypal request. They don't even tell you the total owed in the email! They expect you to look it up yourself! Seriously?

Also, apparently a lot of people paid using Paypal preauths because the credit card input was broken for quite a while.

I am willing to write a polite letter in English if someone who is fluent in Japanese can translate it.

Especially, if they can offer advice on who exactly to contact, and how to go about it.

Considering NIS is close to bankruptcy, now it seems would be a good time to try to get NISA yelled at by their owners.

I'm pretty sure that the main company just believes whatever BS NISA tells them, which is the point of writing this letter. To let NIS Japan know that NISA is doing a terrible, terrible job and that they need to get involved.

>> No.12975173

Let me also clarify that they claim to be worried it will get an "AO" rating, which I don't believe.

Getting an "AO" means Sony won't let it on their console. Again though, I don't think it will go any higher than the current "M" rating.

They cut out all voices during the "punishment game" and have added extra fog. The characters are pretty much fully clothed under the fog too in the original...

It seems they made the cuts mainly to get past Australia's crazy ratings board, but they're giving everyone the same shitty version.

This is why I'm offering to take the risk with my own money to get a DLC released in North America at least.

Learn Japanese and write your own letters or stop caring because you will be able to avoid NISA altogether

>> No.12975227

>>12975219

This is more to make a point than anything else. I don't even care all that much about the game.

By the time I learn Japanese well enough to write this NIS will likely be out of business anyway.

Seriously, I'm willing to put my own money at risk here to make a point. If they refuse my offer, they refuse, but I want to at least try to make NIS Japan aware of NISA's terrible management.

Then fork over your money to pay for a real translator you goddamned dingus. This is as off-topic as you can get without posting a pic of your dick. No, actual, that's more board-relevant than this shit considering how small your dick is, OPie.

Actually, I was just looking into doing that actually.

But that's no fun, and I'd only understand like 5% (and that's being generous) of the dialogue.

Again, this is more about making a point than anything else.

From what I hear, yes. But it might not be true.

It'd be nice if NIS starts considering the PC market, unless sony has locked them into a total exclusivity contract.

I don't actually object to going over the head of an incompetent subsidiary.
But whatever you do OP, don't write a letter that's demanding. Nips hate being told what to do, especially by gaijin.
