While on the subject of religion, a friend of mine is an Asatru, which is the term to describe someone who is part of Norse religion of old. It was really cool to meet someone who appreciates the ancient legends of those days.

One thing that is still cool is that while Loki was the trickster, his chaotic personality did harm and good, reminding us that not being by the rules isn't always bad. In one story, he told lies to help rescue Freya, showing that lying can be good in some scenarios (just be careful). Our modern world tends to be thinking that chaos is inherently evil.

However Order is somewhat necessary. If one keeps society in order it leads to a higher level of self-preservation as society itself provides services that one may have trouble accessing, also think of it this way; if we just kept fighting each other for dominance and control, we would have never invented anything worthwhile for growth, sure we may have developed more ways to kill each other if that were the case; but in the long run it would lead to more unnecessary bloodshed.

Or in this case: When one side is too much, one will be driven eventually to tip the scales to change things.

Under an oppressive ruler? Eventually someone will overthrow it because they try to live without controls placed on them

A Total wasteland without any peace? Someone will have to rise to the challenge to help build society so that they can live.

In the end it all bottles down to a self-preservation instinct.

Just something I picked up over time.

Observe our society for a few years, watch various news channels and read papers to follow the paradigm our world is going. You can learn more from observing than you would from any philosopher. There may be some bias as a result, but you would get an idea of how things work.

It helps also that I studied Biology for 3-4 years. Seeing the physical structures of life itself gave me a bit more insight into realizing that we are all merely amalgamations of Amino acids and chemicals. We are very fortunate to have evolved the way we did and that this world is inhabitable.

What lies beyond us is unknown, and if there is some almighty force, only it can truly judge us, it has the final say, not religion.

If one sees things as "Evil" they should reorganize their priorities. One should classify threats to their existence by the potential damage they can cause to society and therefore one's own future self-preservation.

Sorry if this seemed like I was showing off. Never claimed to be a philosopher, just interested in sharing my perspective so that maybe others may relate to the experience or get some clarity to something that they may have experienced but have trouble understanding the logic behind it.
