I would assume so. It's kind of hard to put a pillow in the laundry, after all.

Though the dakimakura I own actually came as a pillowcase only, and I had to buy the pillow itself separate, so I could be wrong.

This is made for the American market, I think, so it's small and only $30-$40. Okay artwork, though.

I'm still holding off on buying a dakimakura, but once I move out...
