That's not true. They need people's faith in the form of fear, but that doesn't mean they are entirely evil. There are lots of youkai who just spook their victim, for example nopperabou or karakasa. Of course, on the other hand there are these who murder you on the spot.

Amanojaku are just contrarians that like pulling pranks on people. They get a kick out of tricking people into doing something that they either don't want, or that'll result in the opposite of what they want, and they have a strong tendency to do the opposite of what people want/expect/tell them to do. They're not some poor creature where everything is reversed for them, but rather they're pranksters with the ability and desire to reverse things.

So, in other words, she won't just let you rape her or beat her up, not unless she's actually attracted to you. She might get into it after a while if you can actually restrain her though.
