Thing is, military service in China is mandatory, which inflates their numbers. Most the people in it don't want to be there. Getting a drafted force to invade another country is hell. It would be even more difficult for China, as many families take advantage of the "one child per family" benefits. So there would be tons of protests back at home unless there was a VERY good reason to invade another country.

Iran and Pakistan can ally, but not with China or Russia. China and Russia COULD ally with each other, but in a war for resources would likely not. I could see them forming an alliance at the beginning and then someone breaking it later. This would make for the ultimate land war. China would loose this, making this a move likely caused by the Russians. THIS would be the highlight of your WW3 scenario.

Japan would be a useless target for resources. Other than engineers, there really isn't anything of value in it. I would think that Japan would be best off just sitting there on its own fortifying defenses. IF someone did want to attack Japan it would be for revenge or on as a stopping point on the way to a useful target.

Western Europe would ally with America to stop the OMG TANKS from pouring through from Russia. This would very likely be a banding of ALL NATO countries to try to stop this horde from taking over the EU and northern Africa.

The Middle East will fall prey to Russia or China. As will India and Pakistan. There is nothing that they have that could stop either one of these countries for long enough to matter.

South Korea is a joke and would likely fall to a China North Korea alliance. There isn't much to say here on this other than nothing would really stop it from happening.

In the rest of the world targets of value are South America and Australia. The US will likely successfully defend either of these against anything short of a full mobilization of Red Navy against a single target (which would be very stupid on Russia's part to do as they need these to protect their own boarders from the NATO navies).

China's military is actually MUCH smaller than it used to be. In the 1980s, they decided to significantly cut the amount of soldiers and instead focus on modernization.

After they watched the Gulf War where Iraqi forces were decimated by American technology no matter how many numbers there were, China decided to reduce their forces and focus on technology even more. As a result, since the 1980s they've cut a whopping 1,500,000 people from the military.

According to law, military service IS mandatory there, but they don't actually implement it because they have more than enough volunteers. They'd only do it if some shit went down (kinda like how it is in the US).

Wow amazing nobody has any idea what they are talking about, all the military's in the world vs US, US wins. The tomahawk missile is so accurate that it was able to fly down a houses chimney and go through the window to bomb another fucking house. The tomahawk missile is capable of striking down Satellites in space. The US already has a missile defense system able to strike down any attacking aircraft + ships. No other country will be able to use nuclear weapons against the US. Fire a ICBM it gets intercepted before it is halfway over the ocean. The US is the only country with stealth planes, so they would be able to bomb any major city at will. Don't go talking about tanks or army count this is not WW2. Yeah 10 million Chinese soldiers are magically fly over the fucking ocean. Tanks + military are useless since massing them up 1 nuke and your army is destroyed. Not to mention research is being completed in an attempt to replace the missiles with lazers instead. Not to mention the US also has rail guns which can deliver the power of a nuke with a fraction of the cost for producing a nuke.
