Any will do.

Just collect puppets as you normally would. Then when you beat the elite 4, go through your box and pick up all the puppets with at least 2 S ranks.

Use the item that allows you to keep 1 IV.
Merge their stats to create puppets with 3 S ranks.
Do again for 4 S ranks.
Switch to item that allows you to inherit 5 IVs from the "parents".
Do again for 5 S ranks.
Do again for 6 S ranks

With 2 fully stated parent puppet, you should have a 1/16 chance to get a 6S puppet.
Put the puppet you want to reincarnate as your first puppet. Saves a lot of menu navigation time. (=press Z until you get what you want)

Me personally, I really enjoyed exploring all of Gensokyo; and getting involved with everything. While I felt it was a little short; which is normal, since it is a Pokemon game. It was a very enjoyable experience.

I would of loved it if they added more text dialogue, and more content in general. Post game content, and more conversation lines based on time or etc. It'd make the entire thing seem so much more alive. And I think that'd be the most wonderful experience. That interaction with the Gensokyo, that I love.

I just beat the game, and oh boy Focused oriented Power Remilia destroyed everything and Defense Reimu was pretty fantastic too, those 2 are my favorite puppets of the game.

They took many things annoying about Pokemon games and fixed them (IVs are shown, HMs are tools, etc). Gamefreak still hasn't caught on after almost 20 years.

While they did a really good job of bringing Gensokyo to life, I have to say I'm not fond of the level designs at all. The areas are massive so it takes forever to explore them but I tend to get lost because there are very few landmarks to distinguish where I've been. Everything looks the same. Basically, almost every area is like Hoenn's oceans.

Some random things:

Evolutions or at least different sprites for the new formes is the big thing that is missing. Some characters change slightly but i think there are maybe 2 that do and it's just scaling the sprites up or down.

Some character typings and stats feel weird or random, especially for the forms past lvl 30. Some stuff is: Why is Tojiko not Nether in most forms? Why is Speed Futo the 2nd fastest character? Why is Eiki part Warrior and not something like Light/Dark?

I like the little details. You can find Kourin and Nazrin in Muenzuka.

The music is great. No more GBA soundchip stuff or terrible vocal versions of Love-Coloured Master Spark. I wish there was more unique music for fights though. You'd think Mokou's theme would play against her and not Okuu's.

Overall a fun game; as most have stated, I like how Gensokyo is layed out, the location placement makes sense.

I had issues with certain team comps. Some did not many much sense at all thematically.

I did not agree with the difficulty and enemy level scaling. There's many layers to this: low cost puppets of enemies didn't get higher level scaling making their pushovers whereas high cost puppets tended to be higher level making it a silly power-spike within fights themselves.

Some Defense style typings make puppets less bulky than their Power, Assist, and sometimes even Speed forms on merit of super effective moves.

Defense isn't actually bulky enough to make up for its awful speed. It would be if this was normal Pokemon but things in this game hit hard. I've had shit 10+ levels below me still take off massive chunks of health with super effective hits.

Speed gives Mold Breaker or Reckless. When paired with those stats it's a pure wrecking ball. Warrior/Light is also almost unresisted STAB coverage with only Illusion resisting both.

Menu's look like they're completely done. Item translations are spotty at worst (line breaks occurring in the middle of an item description on some; typos), and ability translations could use some work (more line break issues; poor consistency with terms and formatting).

You really just delete the *.arc files (1 and 3, not 2).
Download the dat folders of the translation forum (be sure you have the correct folders for your game version)
The game then automatically gets the assets from the folders.
Then, you get some .csv files from the forum, and replace the existing csv files in your dat folders with the translated ones.

The following names for Puppets are final:
Shingyoku
Konngara
Elis
Louise
Udonge
Gyokuto
Hijiri
Murasa
Wakasagi (Wakasagihime doesn't fit in the 10 character limit)
Sukuna (Shinmyoumaru doesn't fit in the 10 character limit)
All the names are using their in game name, and that's not being changed any further at this point.

Maribel's name has yet to be properly decided, but it will likely be Mary or Merry, though the Japanese kana say "Mary" for the Puppet.

This will not affect character names. Reisen will still be Reisen when it comes to dialogue. Byakuren will still be Byakuren. Shinmyoumaru will still be Shinmyoumaru.

Or 120 SpAtt, 115 speed and useful typing. OR 145 (what) SpAtt, 105 speed. ORRRR 95/80/120 bulk and a super useful ability in aurora temperment. Or how about 80/80/80 bulk, 115 SpAtt, 75 Speed and SPEED BOOST.

Yeah, you get the point. Despite the lower BST 80 cost puppet's stats are generally min-maxed better, and they often come with really damn good abilities. Add to that they're going to be a higher level (5-10 higher if you grind up a new party member thanks to experience share allowing them to sit in the back and slow cook) and they're just stupid good. A party including 3 80 cost puppets should completely trivialize the game.

I can only personally attest to Speed Byakuren being damn good.

Some people have really lauded Power Remilia; it's easy to see why with those stats and ability.

Speed Miko looks hella legit with up-tempo (speed boost)

Can't say much about the others. Take a look at their base stats, typing, and abilities and see how they fair. I will say that Marisa looks scary and speed Okuu looks interesting with those abilities.

I leveled up some of these:
Marisa is fast, even with Power style, and she doesn't appear early in the game. Good starter, both styles are good.
Remilia Power does a lot of damage with Charge (you have to increase her FoAtk).
Byakuren Speed is good, but I don't recommend as a starter, because she changes from SpAtk to FoAtk when she changes style (lv30).
Miko Speed has Speed Boost, but she is light/sound and has no sound type moves.
I personally didn't like Youmu.
Raiko has a good type, but I've never used her. She may be good.

Power Miko has good stats but her ability often makes her useless pretty fast. If she's below 50% health, she's done. This can happen way too fast because her defence is poor. Enemy is faster? Enemy can survive a hit? Chances are that Miko just dropped below 50%. Her strongest STAB move also has 1/3 knockback which doesn't help either.

It's because Remilia can rape your team if you have nothing to counter her main Touhou. That's how almost every boss battle goes besides maybe the final ones in the leauge. They always have one Touhou that can wreck stuff but if you can kill it in one hit or just wall it, you will have no problems. Sometimes their main Touhou will also just be really shitty, like Medicine or Yuuka who can't do anything.

Defence looks like it would be more fun. Since Yuuka is youkai slow she will get good use with After Move. Strong spread attacks would kill either form anyway so 15 less defence in that are isn't a big deal. 185 defence in the other area is also extremely good.

Someone should calculate how big the difference in damage is between Yuuka at 140 attack with no bonus and Yuuka at 100 attack with After Move bonus.

Firstly, defense Yuuka has 115 attack.

Anyways I'm just going to use a pokemon calculator; should be very close.
Defensive side assumes 90/90/90 bulk with max EVs in HP.
Attacking side assumes max EV's in attack and a beneficial nature

Power Yuuka with a 100 STAB move will hit for 53.9 - 63.5% damage.
Defense Yuuka with 100 STAB and after move will hit for 60.9 - 72.1% damage

Both Max focus attack PP + Nature boosting Foatk, no item.

Target is Lvl 100 Defense Shingyoku w/ Max Nature Defense, Max HP & Def PP, the beefiest Focused Defense puppet.

It averages out around the same but the difference is that you can use PYuka in Genbu teams/Baton Pass without losing the attack bonus I guess.

At +2 she still falls short of outspeeding base 125s. That means base 75s with a Choice Scarf (Choice items are in this game right?) will outspeed her. That's a pretty awful situation to be in considering you used an entire turn to set up.

You're better off simply investing in bulk and in that case, you'd rather use the Defense form.
