And just as well, their gameplay is far, far inferior to the original Tactics. The only way to make TA any good at all is by thinking of Marche as a villain, a trait that was totally unintentional but formed because of the incredibly shitty writing. Ironically, this one trait, should you choose to accept it, makes the game ten times better since it's very easy to see Marche as Evangelion DEEP.

As for TA2, its gameplay is an improvement upon TA, but it's still pretty bad, and the story is only a smidget above "DO THE FUCKING MISSION, ASSHOLE." [Spoiler]The final boss is totally random and comes out of the blue. The protagonists decide "well, it came out of the rift, so it must be evil. Holy shit it's stupid.[/Spoiler]

I did give it a try once, but I quickly put it aside after it seemed to go nowhere after playing for a few hours. I remember getting pissed that the loli with the sword wouldn't join me because even though we're trapped in a magical land filled with monsters and bandits and other shit that could eat kids alive, she wanted to have a cooler secret club than me. And the card system was weird, too. So I can't use Ice magic in this battle? I don't give a shit, I don't even have a black mage in my party.

The best thing about Marche is that whenever you walk in on an argument between a Sephiroth fanboy and a Kefka fanboy revolving around which character is superior, all you have to do is mention "Marche" and the room falls silent in fear.
