Even though I am married to all my cute pets, she was my first and I still consider her my head wife. She's the one I make genes with the most.

She cooks me breakfast everyday and has a 100+ cooking level too.

I made this custom sprite for her, along with a custom dialogue text file. Even though I know she's a cat, I like to think she made my character go insane with Eye of Insanity and now believe she was a cute girl. She's also over 7ft tall and 280 pounds.

One day I shall get her a godheart to evolve her into a cute blackcatsister

I did some playing around in Elosnack with the Dual Wielding levels to get a general idea of how the penalty scales.

Unfortunately there were no cool exploits or anything. While the penalty does go directly into negative multipliers, you can't use them on negative accuracy weapons (IE something with a huge penalty such as god weapons or something heavy) to invert them into accurate weapons.

For anyone interested though, I do have a general grasp of the formula used for the dual wield skill: A-(M-1)(A÷[1+S÷10] rounded down), where A = Main hand accuracy for the weapon in question, M = that weapon's melee number from the character sheet, and S = Dual Wield skill.

For instance, at 0 Dual Wield skill your base off-hand penalty will be 100% of your weapon's total accuracy. That means a 1000% accuracy main hand weapon will become 0% in the off hand, as the penalty is calculated as (A÷1)=A, and become -1000% in the third, -2000% in the fourth, and so on.

If you raise Dual Wield to 10, your base penalty will become 50% of your weapon's total accuracy. If you raise it to 20, it will become 33%. At 30 it will be 25%, and it will continue following that pattern.

This coincides interestingly with multi-wielding, as it means roughly every 10 skill levels another hand will become usable. That is to say, their cumulative accuracy multiplier will be greater than 0. Because the Dual Wield penalty is multiplicative, it doesn't matter how much +accuracy you stack on a hand that has 0% or negative accuracy, as it will only be inverted or nullified. IE: At level 0, your off hand will be 0% accuracy. At level 10, it will be your 3rd hand. At level 20, it will be your 4th.

There is some margin of error, especially at fractions that involve decimals. (IE 33% instead of 33.33%) Elona likes to round these down and it causes a pretty noticeable acceleration at 110+ dual wield skill. (Or maybe it's just hardcoded that way by the devs.)

In any case at 120 dual wield skill you'll have a 7% accuracy penalty. At 140 it decreases to 6%, 5% at 160, 4% (at this point all 24 hands on a 24 handed mutant will be positive accuracy) at 200, 3% at 250, 2% at 330, 1% at 500, and at 1000 Dual Wield skill you will have no dual wield penalty whatsoever.

As you can see, the decreases are noticeably sooner than when you would expect following the formula, this is because it takes multiple tens of levels to reduce the percentage at this point, and the game rounds these decimals down. The game will round 5.95% down to 5%, so technically speaking you'll be far ahead of the curve for most of the later skill levels.

Elona uses integer math, so it's utterly incapable of handling any form of fraction or decimal. As far as Elona's concerned, five divided by two equals two.

Slight blood loss is okay to wear for healing training, but that's bleeding you out to the point it will probably be dangerous to your health unless you only trawl dungeons easy for yourself.

There is no real downside to disturbs your growth, in fact I wear 5 pieces of equipment with ##### of it on myself. It only drains "level" experience as in the experience required for leveling, but nothing else. Which is very handy dandy for remaining low level for AP gains. You lose out on more feats and HP/MP, but there's a certain point where there's no real feats you want and HP/MP boost slowly through various stats already.

Try not to use up the highest monster right of the bat, but go step by step to get the most stat boost out of it. Look out for extra limbs as well. You might not want them to receive a complicated body and a speed penalty that comes with that, or you might just want a little girl with 2 7lb, 4 arms and 4 rings.

Alternatively you can just catch stronger dudes and have them as your party mates. They come as higher level and have higher skill levels, but get less AP(if even any).

Also just grabbing the strongest pets instead of leveling your little girl might not train your gene eng as much.

Herbed food is vital, so get building on a herb farm.

Gene engineering is important too to get pets up to your stats. You can only get a maximum of 10 points per attribute per gene engineer. And no more than three attributes can be increased per fusion.

So fusing a level 10 pet with a level 50 pet will give you a pet with a level in between, like 28, but no more than 30 attribute points. However, a level 10 pet fused with a level 11 pet, giving you a new level 11 pet, could still net you the 30 attribute points.

Doing this properly, as in fusing pets level by level and not with a large gap, can net your pet a large amount of extra attribute points real quickly.

So you can get whatever pet or servant you want and bring them up and beyond your own level. With a high gene engineering skill, pets can easily surpass you.

Breeding just for meat to eat is a poor choice now what with the addition of herbed foods. It's too much time and a pet slot for very slight gains that are immediately overshadowed by herb farming.

Breeding for the stat boost gaining foods is where it's at now. Putits, Mandrakes, and Trolls for Putitoro, Mandrake Salad, and Special Steamed Meat Buns for when you grind stats is great. Puff Puff Bread is also nice, but panties are relatively rare.

They're essentially the exact same thing. Each type of food boosts training of 2 stats each for 2k turns. The advantage of the stat boosting foods is they're all easy to make with easy to get ingredients if you setup ranches with the exception of puff puff bread.

I can easily make a stack of putitoro, stuff it in my cooler box, then eat one whenever I invest. With the way they changed investing my charisma stat is now always hopeless due to this. A meat bun before every mining binge is also nice. Mandrake Salad when I take the time to spam train my magic is nice. I once made a few hundred magic missile rods with carpentry after having ate a meat bun. Then proceeded to take those rods, eat a salad, then spam them all on a sandbagged cat.

Shame they nerfed actual spell training on sandbagged enemies, but magic device trains fine on them still it seems.

If you're really into it, you can capture hunger demons, have them make you hungry while you eat 1 of each stat boosting type food, then chow down on herbed foods as they make you hungry and hungry again.

A Kaneda Bike spawns every Jure Festival.

For the NPCs you encounter randomly, they normally never show up again after the first encounter.

However, they can still spawn in Beauty and the Beast quests oddly enough. I got 2 Pascals that way once.

For God Pets, it detects if the pet is in your party on whether to give you one or not. If you abandoned a god pet or released it to the Dojo or a discarded ranch, you'll get another one from the God if you go apostate, return, and get up to the first reward again.

Essentially what it does is make two of your pets into a tag-team duo which takes up one tile and fights together. It's best to hook up pets with like-combat AI, so melee pets with melee pets, magic users with magic users, ranged with ranged, etc.

One thing that this does is reduce the speed of both pets to the one with the lowest speed. This is excellent for high-leveled pets with a high speed as it temporarily lowers it and allows the pet to get AP when they normally wouldn't. AP is also shared with both pets. And I think experience or something is also shared. So is gold.

So let's say you tag a strong pet with a weak pet. The strong pet's speed is now the same as the weak pet's, enabling it to get more AP. The strong pet's other stats are still the same, I think, so it will still do most of the killing. However, now the weak pet will gain AP/experience from the strong pet's kills, which really add up if the strong pet kills strong monsters. So it's a great way to train weak pets and get their speed up to par with AP training while still giving nice additional bonuses to the strong pet.
