1) It's a work in progress. Of course it's going to have some issues, that's why it's still being workshopped. What's on the pastebin was simply one guy's conception of it. We can still refine that with our input, or if he's AWOL, write our own cleaned up variant of it. And even *if* the final version is total crap, you can just ignore it. It's threadcanon, not right of law. No one is forcing you to use it in your stories or art.

2) There is precedence to its acceptability. The wolf-lovers didn't like the yippy nature of the dire wolf, so re-wrote her. Unless you have a vested interest in the werewolf (e.g., waifu or a favourite MG), there's no reason most people would care about dire wolf vs werewolf.

The same *should* go for Amazons, if not for that one shitposter guy who insists on making it a global issue because he hates Amazons. That's likely the only reason we're having this discussion right now, because he's trying to blow up a niche issue into a global one.

3) I don't think its fair to make the diversity, since if simplified, one could also make the argument that a dire wolf is just a slightly taller, meaner werewolf, a salamander is just a fiery lizardman, and so on with the red vs blue onis, etc. It's not outside the paradigm, so it shouldn't be a major issue. The only reason people are willing to talk about her now is because this whole "noble" was talked about last thread. They've always been a minority thing. Judging from the patterns of discussion I've seen in these threads I think it's fair to say that this threadcanon could end up completely eclipsing the MGE.

The "threadcanon isn't law" response isn't adequate, because for minority appeal MGs, threadcanon IS law. If people prefer to talk about the safe "vanilla" version where a man's fragile pride isn't in any danger and there's no scary and ego-threatening role reversal you bet people are going to prefer talking about that. Even though you could easily just headcanon without making a separate subspecies. You won't get discussion about her that doesn't involve the threadcanon.

You say this is a work in progress but if that guy's pastebin represents any serious attempt at fleshing her out it definitely needs work. I guess the question is what's the alternative? With the sheer aggression of autistic shitposters, the Amazon as a legitimate MG for discussion has largely been wiped out. Even civil discussions about very benign topics like, "what MG do you like?" or "Amazon my fav," get buried to hell with shitposting, and eclipsed by threadcanon about abuse.

At this point I suspect the only three possibilities are to 1) Let it die and cease to be a choice for all civil discussion, stories, art, etc. 2) Rebrand it as an analogous version, or 3) Do nothing and hope it goes away on its own.

I don't think #3 is realistic given how very long people have held onto grudges against Latnernon, Metaknight, etc. So it seems to me re-write or let it die are the only remaining options.

To confirm your realizations, you check the internet through your PID, but, for the first time ever, it tells you that there's no connection, and you finally remember that there was something in the description on the website that said you would be technologically cut off from the rest of the world while in NYC. You didn't know it would take effect so soon. And you didn't know what nausea was until it hit you. No matter the amount of virtual boat rides you've taken, somehow, you became sea sick, or at least if seasickness ever did exist, you think you probably had it at that moment.

The MC is just really reflective. There is such a thing as too much blissfulness and satisfaction with life. It's quite a common theme in sci-fi plots. Take the "feelies" in Brave New World for example. While not the same as VR, "feelies" in that universe, along with other things like drugs, keep the masses in complete bliss and unawareness. The MC in my story is kind of like Bernard if you want to make that connection. He's an edgy guy who feels alienated by the world etc, etc.

While suffering from mild seasickness, your ship gets closer to the other end, and you see the confirmation of your suspicions. It wasn't so much an island, not like you would expect, but a linked mass of half submerged buildings and various supporting structures and platforms. This is the real NYC, not the virtual one, not the 21st century one, and not the one you knew, or perhaps you didn't know NYC in the first place. In any case, you were nearing the port, but something else caught your eye. At first you thought they were birds, but as you get closer, you begin to make out the their shape and size, which came as another surprise. They all had human looking bodies, but with wings, and some tails, claws, and other appendages! If you didn't know better, you would think you're still in one of those hyper-real fantasy VR experiences. Though, pretty much without warning, the sight of those familiar, but unusual people leaves you in wonder up until everyone is asked to step off the ship. When you get off the ship and step onto the wood platform, you're overwhelmed, not by the man made spectaculars, but by the reality of uniqueness that could only be seen by physical eyes. It is a scene like this that is able to question your sense of virtual reality, as much, you think, as previous generations questioned reality when VR was still new. Even if someone reproduced this location in VR, it just simply wouldn't be the same. You have no shame in admitting that the cheesy text was in fact right. All of this stands true even though, or perhaps precisely because what you saw seemed so humble, yet so surreal and magical, something that's not seen even in niche VR experiences.
