Can anyone post some other similar streams? Not necessarily of trains, just daily Japan life. People usually post some in these threads, I really should have bookmarked them last time around. I'm particularly interested in one of a fairly active pedestrian crossing I believe it was in Tokyo, and in high def if I recall. The quality was good enough to spend a decent amount of time people watching.

Though a single snowflake falling on the rails in my country shuts down the train system here entirely. And using a bicycle isn't recommended either when it has been snowing.

Seems to me that it's the placement of the camera, on the previous cameras mounts that is the problem. Seeing as it's probably a cheaper model (Sound quality an obvious indicator of this) perhaps it's smaller. And when placed further back it could be picking up the reflection of the surrounding perspex.

I understand the allure of a smalltown station, but why this station? Is it because this is the only live feed you know about? If I find any feeds, I'll make a station feed general or something on /jp/.

I don't know for others but in my case I've known this station before even coming on 4chan. My dad showed it to me one day some 10 years ago or so. /blog

-so, yes, the whole town was evacuated-

So Tomioka is officially an "If you so dare..." city. The Japanese being Japanese, there are probably a good chuck of former residents that have opted to return home despite the danger.
